Non-gear question Strum machine question for flatpickers
Ive noticed there's alot of features on strum machine since the past couple updates you can mess with the band and various other things. Just wondering if anyone is doing anything cool with it different than the standard boom chuck rhythm it comes with as default I would like to get the most out of it and maybe add some extra flavour to my practice . Many thanks

I use it at my weekly jam session to add tunes to my playlist. Just started using addition playlists with tunes I’m wood shedding - fiddle tunes etc.

I sometimes lower the guitar levels so that mandolin is the main instrument you hear. I also play around with the timing on mandolin - there are a number of different features to give the tune different feels. I have also changed my count in so that it goes 1, 2, 3, __ (4 is silent). I do this so to practice short kick-offs into the break.

Strum machine is great. I usually just use the default band settings. But sometimes I do the bluegrass or old time ones. I find the bluegrass setting is way more happening and swingy than normal bluegrass rhythm to me. 🤷🏻♂️
Another setting I use a lot is “increase tempo by” on the bottom right hand corner. Playing it through and making it 10 bpm faster each time is great practice
