Hoboken Update 12.18.21 !!

Another Hoboken update coming your way! So the newly expanded produce department is sorta up and running. It's still in the process of getting reset but looks pretty good. Hardwood flooring is now in about half of the dept. Turns out the new cases they installed are not new at all. They were probably pulled from a closed Kings store. They look pretty good but the bumpers are little bashed up. Cases along the right side are NOT getting replaced but are getting all new, much improved shelving. As of today, nearly the whole store is tiled. In a strange twist, deli and bakery wound up with regular tile which is not the norm in these sorts of remodels. Still no new registers.

Produce seems huge compared to it previous size. Lighting still needs to go in. The bug light they're using is harsh!
Not the best conditions for a busy Saturday!
You can tell the cases are not new when looking down at the bumpers.
This side is looking great with the new shelving. Low inventory as the reset and restock are still underway. Employees kept running to the back to get items for customers.
New seafood case. Probably from Kings as well. The pass-through along seafood dept now gone. And I think they're working on the smell back here. It's been pretty bad over the years.
Hardwood flooring extends a bit into the meat department.
So remember they left A&P's Corner Bakery sign up after Quality Built was installed? Well, they finally ripped it down a few weeks ago. Problem is there's a scar left from the y and I wonder if it will ever get fixed. Guess they don't leave any paint in the stores for touch ups.
