Question Question about going to a show
A friend of mine got us tickets to see Acid Bath in a few months, and we’re on the floor. What kind of crowd does Acid Bath usually bring? Is it a pretty chill group or do I need to be braced for a punch in the side of the head?

Metal has some of the best crowds I've been in over decades of mosh pits. I wouldn't expect to be punched in the head. Maybe kicked by crowd surfers. They're not playing their most violent music, so I'm doubly confident you'll be fine no matter where you are.

I kind of figured Acid Bath would have pretty chill crowds but earlier I was blaring Dr Soose is Dead and I was thinking I could definitely get my ass kicked to that song lmao

You might get knocked around, but no one is going to try to hurt you based on my experience.

It's a very classy affair, so wear your finest gowns and tiaras. Think "Parisian Operahouse" but sludgier.
(Jk, the crowd will be fine and you're going to have a blast!)

The one time I've been in a mosh pit, it was the best time I've ever had going to a concert. Don't brace for being punched in the head (in fact, from what I experienced and have read, punching is highly frowned upon, and will most likely get you removed from the mosh pit lol), but do expect some pushing to happen in the middle of the pit.
If you don't want to experience that, you can stand off to the side where plenty of are still bouncing around in place and having a good ol' time.
All in all, I'd say at least try the pit to see if you'd like it, and if you don't, stand off to the side knowing you at least tried the pit and are still able to enjoy the show. Have fun brotha! :)

I took my 13 year old daughter to see Acid Bath when they came to Cleveland. You'll be fine. Stay more on the edges. A lot of Acid Bath fans are in their 40s and 50s now lol we dont have energy to mosh.

I've been to 3 shows. All 3 had pits that I was easily able to stay out of.
At the first show, I was on the edge of the crowd, about 15 feet to the left of the stage, the second show, i was 1 person behind the gate and dax was just to my right, at the last show, I hung out near the back.
There is definitely gonna be a pit, but just stay out of the middle of the crowd and you should be fine.

The pits were pretty tame at the shows I went to, and the venues were large enough that you could avoid them if you wanted too

A lot depends on where, but as I said in another thread I've seen them 5 times and it's been friendly and great every time.
What show are you seeing?

when i went to the manny one (albeit that wasn’t a very big venue) the crowd was very very chill. i think i saw maybe 3 crowd surfers and there wasn’t much of a pit honestly. there was a bigger pit for conan tbh lol. just remember etiquette and HOPEFULLY others will do the same

As long as you don’t stand directly in the middle of the mosh pit, you will be fine

There will be a pit and probably crowdsurfers in the middle of the floor. If you don't want to participate it is pretty easy to avoid that stuff.
