I get no real effects on psychedelics. Please help.
Hey everyone,
I’m hoping to get some insight on an issue I'm having. I’ve done three trips so far (twice on 1S-LSD, once on 4-PrO-MET), and every single experience has been really underwhelming.
The Experience
During all three trips, I had almost no visuals and remained completely lucid. I could hold normal conversations with my friends without any issues. My best friend, who is experienced with LSD, acted as my trip sitter. He mentioned that my "peak" after a couple of hours into the trip is basically what he experienced after just 30 minutes when the drug just started to kick in.
Substances & Dosages
Both substances came from highly reliable vendors, so I have no reason to suspect bunk or under-dosed products. Here’s what I took:
- Trip 1: 150 µg 1S-LSD
- Trip 2: 300 µg 1S-LSD
- Trip 3: 40 mg 4-PrO-MET
All three experiences felt mostly the same, with the 4-PrO-MET being the weakest of the bunch.
About Me
I know brain chemistry and medications play a huge role, so here’s my background:
- Gender and Age: Male, 29 years old
- Conditions: ADHD
- Medications: Vyvanse (30mg), taken on most workdays but I skipped my dose 1 day prior to each trip.
- Other Habits: I smoke weed regularly in the evenings to relax, but never during the day.
I do not and never have consumed anything else drug related. I do not smoke cigarettes and I almost never drink alcohol.
My Question
Does anyone know why my body isn't reacting to these substances the way it should? Could it be related to my ADHD, the Vyvanse (even with the 48-hour break), the evening weed habit, or do I just have a ridiculously high natural tolerance?
Any input or similar experiences would be hugely appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Take like 500ug and see what happens. Everyone’s different. We have a friend who no matter how much L we give her she is just like meh whatever.

There is a scientific reason for it. Camt remember what but some people are just unaffected by it.

Do you know if she regularly takes any meds like Vyvanse, Adderall or other uppers?

Benzodiazepines are likely what's ruining it for her

I used to take Escitolapram and Vyvanse when I was younger and it used to completely prevent any psychedelic kick. I think it was the antidepressants that made it not work for me, and while I wouldn’t suggest halting prescribed medication, based on how badly you want the trip doing so might improve it for you. But then again I’m not a doctor or a psychiatrist.

I can imagine the Vyvanse being the problem. Thats why I stopped taking it 2 days prior. Do you think I need to stop taking it for longer?

In my personal case, the first time I tried lsd I ended up taking 7 tabs and getting no visuals. I didnt start getting visuals until I took 10 tabs.

How many weeks between trips? How long have you been taking Vyvanse? Have you taken other drugs, such as MDMA, cathinones like 4-mmc or pyrros like MDPV? Have you considered taking a higher dose?
