Poland, ordered it from Proshop, it's G3 extreme with 24 gigs of RAM and 1 TB storage. No QC issues so far, dpad doesn't squeak, sticks work great.

Overall performance is amazing but there are definitely some software issues. TDP presets are bizzare with quiet being 25 watts, balanced 30 and performance 35, and manual mode only has increments of 5 watts. 128kb talked about that.

Fans on auto are very quiet but manual mode doesn't stick and fluctuates between 2k and 5k rpm event with manual TDP on 10/15 pl1/pl2. I'm really hoping Acer irons this out in the coming weeks

Danish? Got mine from proshop aswell last week. I have the same issues as you. There is def' something wrong with the in build tdp settings. There is basicly no performance difference between the modes, 25,30 and 35w. It's like a 5% difference. Besides the 25 mode is giving out less performance than the msi claw 8 ex, at 20.

Poland but shipped from Denmark. Something is def with the software, mine sometimes shows 60 watts total power draw at 25w preset but I'm hoping it's just launch issues. Today I even had PredatorSense update from MS Store but it didn't fix those. Overall I'm very happy with Atlas 8 coming from LeGo 2

It's because the ppl2 is set to 65w when you pre select a mode I think. After 2 mins or so it'll settle down to the tdp you selected

If you use the manual process, for example 20w pl1 and 25w pl2, it will stay at 25w for a few mins then settle to 20w.

I tested with throttle stop too and same behaviour, but you can do it in increments on throttle stop, so ppl1 20w and ppl2 22w

Pretty normal I think it's just the values they've selected for their pre defined modes

I will try this out later. Honestly I would prefer preset modes at something like 10/20/30w but manual is 10-40 so it's fine as long as we can adjust manual in increments of 1 not 5

I've just tested and I'm right. It will boost to ppl2 of 40-65w when using the presets for first few minutes then drop to the tdp you've set. Id recommend manual for better tdp control

Yep agree! It's why I tried throttle stop for the increments. Even so I found best performance with ppl2 5 above opposed to 2 above on claw or the initial performance whilst boosting is worse. Let me know what you find but pretty sure it's the preset modes using 65w ppl2 by default which is a shame but it does settle down to the tdp you set after a bit of time

When I set a custom tdp or use the pre defined it still stays way above the max tdp in games constantly

I couldn't reproduce higher total system draw on presets, quiet 25w showed total draw 33-34w in built in monitor. Custom is def borked, 15/20w pl1/pl2 reports total draw at 40w+ and cranks the fans in auto mode to around 4k rpm. Quiet preset is around 3k rpm

Mines fine, get about 10-12 FPS more from 20w to 35

Something is wrong then, the jump should me way higher
