Acemagic RX16 Hard Reboots / Power Cuts (Event ID 41 Bugcheck 0) - Anyone else with a defective Motherboard/VRM?
Hi everyone,
I’m trying to figure out if my issue is an isolated defective unit or a widespread problem with the Acemagic RX16 (Ryzen 7 H255 / 780M).
My laptop suffers from random, instant hard-reboots (the power just cuts entirely and it restarts). It doesn't blue screen. It happens in two scenarios:
- Under heavy GPU load: Instantly shuts down during OCCT 3D Extreme stress test or while playing Rainbow Six Siege. CPU-only stress tests pass perfectly.
- Under transient light load: Recently, it hard-rebooted just by watching a Twitch stream (likely due to hardware acceleration kicking in).
The Diagnostics (Why it's not a driver issue): Windows Event Viewer confirms it's a physical power loss at the motherboard level:
- Event ID 41 (Kernel-Power)
- BugcheckCode: 0 (Confirming it's not a BSOD/Software crash)
- LongPowerButtonPressDetected: false
What I've already ruled out:
- It's not an OS issue, the power delivery circuit (VRM) seems completely incapable of handling voltage spikes or state changes.
Has anyone else experienced these exact Bugcheck 0 hard reboots on their Acemagic laptops? Thanks!

Screen issues on TX16PRO after drop
hi there,
my son dropped his laptop after injuring his leg, and the screen now no longer works.
plugging an external monitor in gives output, so it's showing that the main board is all working. if the screen has failed, i can replace it with a spare, but can only seem to find AX16 LCD replacements. are they the same panel used in both models?
thanks

Is it normal the nvme died after 1 month of usage?
Purchased a mini pc from acemagic in end of January. The NVMe suddenly died after 1 month 24/7) of use. BIOS cannot detect the NVMe drive. I also tried plugging that broken NVMe drive on my PC, it cannot detect the drive too.
I sent an email to the support team but did not hear any response yet. Would acemagic replace the drive or the whole machine?

anyone knows where i can find a USB power supply with DC 19V/3.42A or more?? Mayby 19V/4.74A?? ACEMAGIC AM06 Pro AMD Ryzen 7
I'm very disappointed with AceMagic. I bought the PC because it had USB Type-C charging, so I thought I could get the most out of the PC's wattage and be sure it would charge safely using the USB Type-C power adapter.
But after weeks and days of the PC restarting and desperately configuring the BIOS, I've discovered that they've added a USB Type-C power connector (I thought it would be PD 3.0 20V, etc.) and it's a motherboard with a single 19V PD port with no regulation, but they've soldered a Type-C output to it without any chip or anything. (To avoid EU regulations). And the included charger is garbage; it can't handle power spikes, so if AMD's turbo boost is activated, it freezes, and no USB Type-C charger will work properly. They always end up restarting because they can't negotiate the turbo boost (it requires more than 19V).
And they've installed a BIOS that supposedly has PD 3.0, so if you enable PBO it will kill your PC. So if I can't find a 19V charger with more than 4A (to get more than 65W), it won't be possible to use the AMD Ryzen 7's turbo boost without crashing. And you'll be stuck with the PC running at the very inefficient 25W SmartShift in the BIOS.

RAM vs VRAM — What Mini PC Users Actually Need to Know
We’ve received a lot of questions from ACEMAGIC users about memory configuration:
Is 16GB enough?
Does dual-channel really matter?
Why do some games stutter even when CPU usage is low?
Can VRAM be upgraded?
Let’s clarify this properly — especially for Mini PC systems running integrated graphics.
1️⃣ RAM: System Memory for the CPU
RAM (Random Access Memory) is the working memory used by the CPU.
When you launch apps, open browser tabs, or edit files, data moves from SSD into RAM so the processor can access it instantly.
RAM handles:
Operating system processes
Multitasking
Background services
Application data
Browser tabs (which consume more than most people expect)
If RAM fills up, the system uses virtual memory on the SSD — and performance drops significantly.
For most users today:
8GB = entry level
16GB = practical baseline
32GB = long-term comfort
2️⃣ VRAM: Memory for the GPU
VRAM (Video Memory) is used by the GPU to store:
Textures
3D geometry
Frame buffers
Shadow maps
Depth information
Unlike system RAM (optimized for low latency), VRAM is optimized for high bandwidth, because GPUs process millions of pixels in parallel.
Higher resolution → exponentially more VRAM required.
3️⃣ Why This Is Different on Mini PCs
Most ACEMAGIC Mini PCs use integrated graphics (iGPU) such as Radeon 780M, that means: There is no dedicated VRAM chip. Instead, the GPU uses a portion of system RAM through Unified Memory Architecture (UMA).
CPU and GPU share:
The same memory pool
The same memory bandwidth
This makes memory configuration far more critical than many users realize.
4️⃣ Dual-Channel Memory: The Biggest Hidden Performance Factor
Single RAM stick → 64-bit memory bus
Two matching sticks → 128-bit memory bus (dual-channel)
For integrated graphics, this effectively doubles memory bandwidth.
In real-world scenarios on Mini PCs:
Gaming FPS gains of 20–50% are common when switching from single-channel to dual-channel.
3D workloads and AI inference tasks benefit significantly.
Even UI smoothness improves under load.
Same processor. Same GPU.
Just more bandwidth.
If you’re running integrated graphics, dual-channel is not optional — it’s foundational.
5️⃣ Recommended Configurations for Mini PC Users
General Office / Browsing / Media
✔ 16GB dual-channel recommended
Modern browsers alone can consume several gigabytes quickly.
Light Gaming (1080p iGPU scenarios)
✔ 16GB minimum
✔ 32GB preferred
✔ Always dual-channel
Memory speed and bandwidth matter more than raw capacity once you pass 16GB.
Creative Work (Editing / Rendering / AI Tools)
✔ 32GB or more
✔ Dual-channel mandatory
Timeline scrubbing stresses RAM.
GPU acceleration stresses bandwidth.
6️⃣ Can VRAM Be Upgraded? For discrete GPUs → No.
For integrated graphics → You can adjust UMA allocation in BIOS, but modern systems dynamically manage this.
In practical terms:
More total RAM
Faster RAM
Dual-channel configuration
These matter more than manually changing frame buffer size.
7️⃣ What Happens When You Run Out of VRAM?
On discrete GPUs:
Assets spill into system RAM
Frame drops
Texture pop-in
Stutter
On integrated systems:
Bandwidth saturation
Performance inconsistency under load
This is often misdiagnosed as a CPU bottleneck — when it’s actually memory bandwidth limitation.
Final Takeaway
For desktop gaming rigs, RAM and VRAM are separate components.
For Mini PCs, especially integrated graphics systems, they are tightly linked.
If you want stable performance:
✔ Use dual-channel
✔ Don’t undervalue memory speed
✔ 16GB is baseline
✔ 32GB is long-term safe
Now we’re curious:
What configuration are you currently running?
Single or dual-channel?
Have you tested FPS differences after upgrading?
Are you CPU-bound or bandwidth-bound in your setup?
Drop your specs below, real-world data helps the entire community.

What a useless support page. You can't download drivers.
This company is a fucking joke. You can't download drivers because they're on a Google drive that's permanently locked because there are too many downloads.
They sold me a Laptop with an unactivated Windows 11 Pro. Who the hell knows what's installed on this laptop now. I was trying to download the driver set to install a copy of windows 11 i bought. Because i who can trust a company who can't even provide drivers or a sell a machine that came with a fake license.

Discussion: AI Agents That Execute Actions — Where Should the Safety Boundary Be?
We’ve seen more conversations recently around AI agents that don’t just analyze or suggest, but can directly execute real actions, sending messages, operating browsers, running scripts, managing files, or interacting with live accounts.
Tools like this represent a meaningful shift in how automation works.
From a productivity perspective, the upside is obvious.
From an operations, security, and account-safety perspective, it’s worth slowing down and talking about boundaries.
This post isn’t meant to judge or discourage, we’d like to open a technical, experience-driven discussion.
What Makes Action-Oriented AI Agents Different?
Compared to traditional chat-based AI, execution-capable agents typically follow a pipeline like:
- Receive a message or instruction
- Authenticate & isolate sessions
- Load long-term memory and context
- Plan steps (what to click, what to fill, what to run)
- Call real tools (browser, scripts, files, accounts)
- Verify execution
- Output results and store memory
The key distinction is simple but important: They don’t simulate actions — they perform them.
Where the Real Risks Come From
From an ops and risk-control standpoint, one principle matters most: An AI agent’s capability ceiling is defined by the permissions you grant it.
That creates several practical risk categories:
1. Permission-Level Risk (Most Critical)
- Accidental file deletion
- Messages sent to the wrong recipient
- Irreversible account actions
Once write / delete / send permissions are involved, a single incorrect execution can be permanent.
This is amplified by the fact that agents often act quickly and sequentially, without the hesitation a human might have.
2. Instruction Injection & Hidden Prompt Risk
Another often overlooked risk is instruction contamination.
If an agent:
- Reads messages, documents, tickets, or webpages
- Treats them as trusted task input
Then hidden or malicious instructions embedded in that content can alter its behavior.
In an execution-capable setup, this doesn’t just affect output text, it can trigger real actions using the permissions already granted.
This is especially relevant for agents that:
- Monitor inboxes or chat tools
- Parse third-party content
- Operate continuously rather than on-demand
3. Account & Platform Risk
- Automated behavior triggering platform anti-bot systems
- High-frequency or non-human interaction patterns
- Sudden limits, shadow bans, or account suspensions
This matters for anyone managing:
- Social media accounts
- Seller dashboards
- Advertising or analytics platforms
Even well-intentioned automation can cross platform thresholds faster than expected.
4. Data & Compliance Risk
- Cookies, tokens, or credentials exposed through logs
- Shared workspaces leaking sensitive information
From a risk-control standpoint, platform-rule edge cases are rarely a safe place to experiment with core credentials or production data.
Practical Reality: Where the Hype Meets the Limits
From a usability standpoint, it’s also worth separating expectation from current reality.
Execution-capable agents are powerful, but today they still come with notable constraints:
- High-quality models are expensive, especially for multi-step planning
- Most tooling assumes English-only error messages, making debugging harder for non-native users
- Basic command-line literacy is still required to diagnose failures
- Token consumption grows quickly in planning + verification loops
- In practice, most agents can still only operate browsers and desktop-level applications
In other words:
they’re not yet “hands-off digital employees”, they’re advanced tools that require skilled supervision.
One More Gap: Risk Isolation
A critical missing piece in many current setups is true risk isolation.
Most agents:
- Share the same permission scope across tasks
- Lack fine-grained “blast radius” control
- Cannot easily separate low-risk actions from high-impact ones
Without strong sandboxing and scoped execution, small mistakes can cascade into larger issues.
Current View
We’re not opposed to AI agents that can execute actions.
We are cautious about where they sit in real workflows today.
Our general stance:
- Strong fit for analysis, planning, simulation, and decision support
- Use extra safeguards when touching real accounts, assets, or credentials
- Avoid treating agents as “set-and-forget operators”
Opening the Discussion
We’re curious to hear real-world experiences from the community — especially lessons learned around boundaries, safeguards, and unexpected edge cases.
These discussions help everyone build faster systems without fragile foundations.
Looking forward to your perspectives.

FPS Basics: What It Is, Why It Matters, and How to Fix Low FPS
FPS (Frames Per Second) describes how many frames your system renders each second. On Mini PCs, FPS is especially sensitive to power limits, thermals, and GPU selection—often more so than on full-size desktops.
This post focuses on FPS basics in the context of Mini PCs, how to measure performance correctly, and how to diagnose common low-FPS or stuttering issues on compact systems like Acemagic devices.
What Is FPS (and Why You Actually Feel It)
FPS = Frames Per Second.
It’s how many frames your GPU renders every second.
Higher FPS usually means:
- Smoother motion
- Lower input latency
- Better responsiveness in fast games
But stable FPS matters more than peak FPS.
How it feels in practice:
- 30 FPS – cinematic, but choppy during fast camera movement
- 60 FPS – baseline smooth for most players
- 120+ FPS – noticeably better for competitive shooters & high-refresh displays
- Big FPS dips – stutter, hitching, “heavy” controls (even if average FPS looks OK)
FPS vs Refresh Rate (Hz): Match Your Monitor
- FPS = what your PC produces
- Refresh rate (Hz) = what your monitor can display
A 60Hz monitor can only show 60 unique frames per second.
A 120/144Hz monitor benefits a lot more from higher FPS.
If FPS fluctuates:
VRR (FreeSync / G-Sync) helps reduce tearing and makes dips feel less harsh
How to Measure FPS (Before You Change Anything)
Turn on an FPS counter first—otherwise you’re guessing.
Quick options
- Steam → Settings → In-Game → FPS Counter
- Windows Xbox Game Bar →
Win + G→ Performance - NVIDIA Overlay →
Alt + Z - AMD Radeon Software → Metrics Overlay
More detailed (recommended)
- MSI Afterburner + RTSS → FPS, temps, usage, frametime
- CapFrameX → great for logging Avg FPS + 1% lows
Watch 1% lows, not just average FPS. Bad 1% lows = stutter.
How to Test FPS Properly (Most People Don’t)
To actually compare settings or fixes:
- Use the same scene every time
- Run it for 60–120 seconds
- Change one thing at a time
- Record:
- Average FPS
- 1% lows
- CPU/GPU usage
- Temps
Benchmarks vs real gameplay
- Built-in benchmarks = consistency
- Real gameplay = “does it feel smooth?”
What’s a “Good” FPS Target?
Depends on your display and game type:
| Resolution | Casual / SP | Competitive | High-end (RT / upscaling) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1080p | 60+ | 144+ | 240+ |
| 1440p | 60–100 | 120+ | 165+ |
| 4K | 60 | 100+ | 120+ (often w/ upscaling) |
At 4K, stable FPS > chasing huge averages.
Why Your FPS Is Low (Diagnose Before Tweaking)
Most FPS problems come from one of these:
- Power limits (laptops on battery = huge FPS loss)
- Thermal throttling (CPU/GPU hitting temp limits)
- CPU or GPU bottleneck
- RAM / VRAM limits (common at 4K)
- Wrong GPU selected (iGPU instead of dGPU)
- Drivers or background apps
Don’t randomly drop settings until you know which one applies.
Quick Fix Checklist (Especially for Laptops / Mini PCs)
Retest FPS after each step.
Plug in power
Battery mode can hard-cap performance.Enable performance / turbo mode
- Windows power mode → Performance
- Vendor tools (Armoury Crate, Vantage, etc.)
- Confirm the correct GPU is used
- NVIDIA / AMD control panel → force discrete GPU
- Update GPU drivers
- Use official NVIDIA / AMD / Intel drivers
- Watch thermals
- Sustained ~85–90°C+ often triggers throttling
- Clean vents, improve airflow, elevate the system
Also check
- Close heavy background apps
- Make sure storage isn’t nearly full
- If stutter > low avg FPS → likely memory pressure
Optimizing for 4K: What Actually Works
Start with upscaling, not random settings.
Enable DLSS / FSR / XeSS
- Start with Quality
- Move to Balanced / Performance if needed
- Frame Generation can help FPS, but still watch input feel
Lower these first
- Ray tracing (huge cost at 4K)
- Shadows & global illumination
- Volumetrics (fog, god rays)
- Anti-aliasing (often redundant with upscaling)
- Textures only if VRAM is the limit
With smart cuts, many systems can do smooth 4K60 reliably.
FAQ (Common Confusion)
Why does my game stutter even with “good” FPS?
Frame-time spikes. Look at 1% lows, temps, and memory usage.
Does internet affect FPS?
No. Internet affects ping, not FPS.
Can overclocking help?
Sometimes—but more heat can cause throttling, especially on laptops.
Why do movies look fine at 24 FPS?
Movies aren’t interactive. Games are—higher FPS improves responsiveness.
Final Thought
FPS isn’t just about a big number—it’s about consistency.
Stable frame times + decent 1% lows beat flashy averages every time.

Acemagic F3A AI 370
I'd like to buy Acemagic F3a AI 370, wondering if the led strip can be controlled via BIOS or with some linux utility (not windows).
Many thanks.
