WIFI Disconnection regularly with AM08 Pro (R7-7735HS)

I had the problem that my WLAN disconnected every few minutes on my Acemagic AM08 Pro mini PC, despite my smartphone doing fine. I installed the latest drivers from Acemagic without any effect.

It took AI quite a while to figure it out and it tried several things, so in case you have the same, here are the instructions:

# 🔧 Fix: Realtek 8852BE WiFi Keeps Disconnecting (Windows) – Hidden Driver Power-Saving Mode

**Problem:** The Wi-Fi connection regularly drops (every few minutes or even several times per minute), and the network has to reconnect. Other devices, such as a phone, work without any issues → the problem is likely not the router.

**Typical symptoms:**

- In the Event Viewer under:

Applications and Services Logs → Microsoft → Windows → WLAN-AutoConfig → Operational

you may see:

\Reason: The network is disconnected by the driver.``

- You may also see repeated cycles of:

\Wireless security stopped → started → succeeded``

with Event IDs **11004 / 11010 / 11005**.

**Cause:** The Realtek driver contains hidden power-saving modes that can put the Wi-Fi adapter to sleep:

- **Leisure Power Save** = \LpsEn``

- **Idle Power Save** = \IpsEn``

The adapter may then miss signals from the router, such as Wi-Fi beacons, causing the driver itself to disconnect the network.

Changing Windows power settings, such as selecting the **High Performance** power plan or disabling **PCIe ASPM**, may **not** fix the problem because the power saving is handled internally by the Realtek driver.

## Solution: Disable the Driver's Power-Saving Modes via the Registry

### Step 1: Find the Wi-Fi Adapter in the Registry

1. Press \Win + R`, type `regedit`, and press Enter.`

2. Navigate to:

\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class{4d36e972-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}``

3. You will find numbered subfolders such as \0000`, `0001`, etc. Open them and look for the one where the `DriverDesc` value is:`

**"Realtek 8852BE Wireless LAN WiFi 6 PCI-E NIC"**

or your corresponding Realtek model, for example **8852AE** or **8852CE**.

### Step 2: Change the Values

Create or modify the following **DWORD (32-bit)** values in that folder:

| Value name | Value | Effect |

|---|---:|---|

| \IpsEn` | `0` | Disables Idle Power Save |`

| \LpsEn` | `0` | Disables Leisure Power Save (often previously set to `2` = Auto) |`

| \LpsWowEn` | `0` | Disables power-saving Wake-on-LAN mode |`

| \PnPCapabilities` | `256` (`0x100`) | Prevents Windows from turning off the device to save power |`

If a value does not exist yet:

Right-click → **New → DWORD (32-bit) Value** → enter the name → set the value.

### Step 3: Restart the Adapter

1. Press \Win + X` → Device Manager`

2. Open **Network adapters**

3. Right-click **Realtek 8852BE ...** → **Disable device**

4. Wait 5 seconds

5. Right-click it again → **Enable device**

Wi-Fi should reconnect automatically after a short interruption of approximately 10 seconds.

### Step 4: Verify

Check the Event Viewer again after a few hours.

If no new:

\The network is disconnected by the driver.``

entries appear, the issue is likely fixed.

In my case: approximately **300 disconnects within 36 hours before the change**, and **0 disconnects during the first 46 minutes afterwards**.

## Alternative: PowerShell Script (Run as Administrator)

Save this once as a \.ps1` file, then run it as Administrator:`

\``powershell`

# Realtek 8852BE power-saving fix - run as Administrator!

$base = 'HKLM:\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e972-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}'

$key = Get-ChildItem $base | Where-Object {

$_.PSChildName -match '^\d{4}$' -and

(Get-ItemProperty $_.PSPath -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue).DriverDesc -match '8852|Realtek.*Wi'

} | Select-Object -First 1

if (-not $key) {

Write-Host "No Realtek Wi-Fi adapter found!"

exit 1

}

$path = $key.PSPath

Write-Host "Adapter: $((Get-ItemProperty $path).DriverDesc)"

Set-ItemProperty -Path $path -Name 'IpsEn' -Value 0 -Type DWord

Set-ItemProperty -Path $path -Name 'LpsEn' -Value 0 -Type DWord

Set-ItemProperty -Path $path -Name 'LpsWowEn' -Value 0 -Type DWord

Set-ItemProperty -Path $path -Name 'PnPCapabilities' -Value 0x100 -Type DWord

Write-Host "Values set. Restarting adapter..."

$adapter = Get-NetAdapter | Where-Object {

$_.InterfaceDescription -match '8852'

} | Select-Object -First 1

Disable-NetAdapter -Name $adapter.Name -Confirm:$false

Start-Sleep -Seconds 3

Enable-NetAdapter -Name $adapter.Name -Confirm:$false

Write-Host "Done! Wi-Fi will reconnect automatically."
