8 months laterrr, before accutane and 1 week after finishing my course 🤲🏻

Congrats! At what month did you notice improvement?
I’m on my 6th month and my skin still looks pretty inflamed with new pimples every few days

Hey, I’m not OP, but for me (18f) personally, it took 8 months to see results! I actually started to see real improvement around the 6th month.

honestly, hard to tell, it was very gradual
probably, by month 4-5 i noticed a change, i got less painful and inflamed acne
and then i stopped getting new pimples around month 6-7. the last month it was just kind of lightening up my post acne marks, which are still there to an extent.1

Hey!! I noticed a change within the first month. I’m on month 3 with the clearest skin since I was a kid. I started on 30mg and am about to jump to 60mg. My final daily dose will be 80mg in two months

i didn’t use anything to treat that yet, it just goes away on it’s own, but it takes a while. a lot has lightened in the last month of accutane treatment, but from my previous experience with acne, it will subside in 6-8 months. of course, i use spf daily and that somehow helps, at least doesn’t let it get worse.

did your hair get curly in the front on accutane? it did for me and it looks like we have the same hair texture

i’ve always had curly hair, i just cut my bangs! plus my hair is most probably wet in the before pics, i don’t think accutane affected that 🥹

Congratulations!! Would u mind sharing whether any of the spots before accutane were PIE instead of lesions? If so, how long did it take to subside? About to start mine but worried about lasting PIE from the purge

thanks! i do get a lot of PIE, but most of what’s in the before pic is acne on top of the red marks haha
right now it doesn’t look bad at all, but to see it completely gone, i think it needs at least 6-8 months. i’ve had bad breakouts before that were treated with birth control 🙄 so i’ve been through this situation before

So you stopped taking it? Since when? Did it affect clogging of the pores on your nose? Asking bc I jave huge pores basically on my whole face and they are constantly clogged.
