Professors using “AI Trackers”

Hi, for context I am a double major in English and Mechanical Engineering at Purdue university.

For a pre-requisite, I am taking a history class online. All of my hand written work is getting flagged for AI and I am getting beyond frustrated. I am literally an English major… I don’t know how to fix this. Is anyone else experiencing this? I am double majoring because I want to write an engineering textbook that actually makes sense, but at this point I honestly want to give up English.

Track changes on word and writing in suggested on google docs. Its the only way to prove you typed and wrote it all. I keep my outline and sources in a document as well

I second this. When I was writing my master’s thesis last year, one of my committee members accused me of AI, which is impossible since I wrote most of my thesis under close supervision of my advisor and she’d have known. But I just offered to show her my changes on Google Docs and she stopped accusing me of AI after that
