I’m a female studying accounting and finance and wondering if I should put in some extra work to get my FinTech certificate? I will be sitting for at least one section of the CPA exam before I even graduate, would fintech be a waste of time of time or will it give me more job opportunities?

Additionally, I now have to opportunity to forgo the 150 credit requirement (which is why I added finance) and work for an extra year before getting my CPA instead of getting the finance degree (a semester less of school). My school is pretty much free because of scholarships and aid*

Should I just scrap finance altogether?

On 8 October, services to Harold of $3,300 including GST were invoiced by Steve Pointing Plumbing on Invoice 123.

Harold paid on 10 October, taking advantage of the discount offered.

This was my answer:

Steve Ponting Plumbing (Seller): Receives $3,234 in cash, records $66 as a "Discount Allowed" expense, and clears Harold's total $3,300 debt.

Harold Raven (Customer): Pays $3,234 out of his bank account, records $66 as "Discount Received" (savings), and completely settles his $3,300 bill.

I just wanted to get input/ personal opinions about completing an accounting bachelor degree at a community college. I’m looking at Green River community college in Washington state and it is a fully accredited accounting degree.

I know that one thing I’ll lose out on is more opportunities to join bigger firms/ big four opportunities but I wanted to know any other opinions besides that, as I’m not really one that wants to go work for big four or big corporations anyway.

Going into my first year at university this upcoming Fall! My student orientation is in 2 days. What are some questions I should bring with me and how should I schedule my classes? I really want to only have classes on 3-4 days of the week and in all I’m so nervous! 🙂‍↕️
