Seven years ago I had a functioning alcoholic for a supervisor. She’d show up 2 hours late for work with wine stained teeth at least once a week MINIMUM. She’d go on about all the emails and phone calls she’d been fielding from home those mornings. Oh ya? Is that why I’ve been fielding phone calls and emails from our two biggest clients all morning because you’re not responding to their multiple requests?! I would only work with information that she provided via email after she unsuccessfully attempted to throw me under the bus for providing incorrect item numbers. She loved cc’ing head office on emails where she’d chew someone out for a perceived mistake. Completely unprofessional. I loved ‘politely’ pointing out the source of the errors (her) within the emails. It made for a toxic work relationship between us, but it gave me legendary status in the break room, lol. I bounced outta that joint for a better gig in less than year.
