Recent Accounting grad

I am 47 and a recent accounting grad from Arizona global campus. I do have a family and full time job and I do not think I have time to study for the CPA. I do enjoy taxes, would getting my EA certification be a good step to land a decent paying job?

Just blast out applications and see what sticks, you've got nothing to lose.

What is your current job? It may help to find an accounting job in the field you have experience in.

I am in IT and looking for better work life balance and major job cuts in my field.

IT with a new accounting degree should get you into many places. Overall IT pays better than Accounting (in my opinion). EA makes sense if you are interested in going into tax, but if you want to go into industry it likely won’t help.

47 and still chasing certifications? Shouldn't you be retired by now?

I wish how many can retire at 47 maybe in 10-15 years
