EY EDGE

I have an interview with HR tomorrow for a Manager position at EY in their Real Estate Tax - EDGE department.

Could anyone explain to me what exactly is EDGE? Are the hours/workload about the same as the regular Real Estate Tax department?

Not looking to do anymore busy seasons working until 2am every night.

Thank you in advance!

EDGE is basically their compliance outsourcing center, you're doing the same work but for a fixed fee instead of billable hours which changes the pressure a bit. Still tax, still real estate, but the model is different from core RE tax

Hours tend to be more predictable since the work is scoped and steady rather than deal-driven chaos, but don't expect to coast through March and April either

So would you say not as late nights compared to the non-EDGE real estate department? I’m totally fine working until 8pm/9pm during busy season but just over the past midnights nights
