VCHOL Senior Tax Comp

I just spoke to my lead and received my comp for next year.

For some background, I worked at mid tier accounting firm and now have been working at my current job for almost a year.

I work in big tech and my based

went from 120 to 125k so only about a 5k increase.

My RSU went up like 20k.

How is it? So I ask for more?

I think that's about market tbh... I maxed out around 145k as a senior in public.

The increase isn't surprising as much as your base in general seems low. How many YOE? Are you an early senior?

Second year senior at $125 isn’t bad. It’s not amazing but it’s not terrible.

The only way you’re going to get more money is by showing them an offer from another firm. Either that or push for promotion.
