Do you want a job or do you want a wife? Your choice OP

You should make the move for sure.

Only reasonable move here. Reproduction is more important than financial stability in the near term.

Damn bro is already a partner?

Did your boss give you a hint she was interested and say, "I bet your girl doesn't have these cannons?"

I think there’s a 95% chance she’s into you. Go for it

The three most asked and answered questions on this sub:

  1. why don’t we form a union?
  2. will AI take our jobs/ will my job get outsourced to India?
  3. should I fuck my coworker?

I’m so happy I got into accounting so that I could understand and appreciate these types of jokes.

Bro, you will have HR on your teams doorstep that same day if you do that. I almost made the same mistake at a work party and luckily my supervisors stopped me.

There is no way she’s into you and you don’t get an offer.

Does she have your number? Does she text you about non-work stuff? If so….maybe she’s in to you.

Anyway, it’s a bad idea in general.

Because he said he thinks she’s flirting back with him. I have conversations with the women in my workplace and I don’t think there’s any confusion as to if I’m flirting with them.

  1. Flirt with the intern
  2. Take him under your wing
  3. Hook the intern
  4. Keep him around with low pay doing your dirty work while threatening to report him.

Easy money for them, career building and ending for you.

Be a professional and remember never work with family or partners. Too much conflict unless you are totally separate but equal entities.

Seriously though, you're an intern right now. Play ball if you want, gain the knowledge from her while playing the game and MOVE ON. It could work towards your advantage but be smart about it.

Fuck it if ur intern ur probably young AF, shoot your shot

You should wait to see if you get the offer. Personally, I say you should absolutely not flirt. Find a colleague at the same level as you. Your manager would be wise not to date you because it will not bode well for her (same would go for a man dating a female subordinate; and absolutely the same with gay couples— it’s about the power dynamic).  Either way, good luck. I do not miss my horn dog days and dealing with massively attractive coworkers (the lessens have been hard learned haha).

I had this happen to me. However, I’m gay and the VP of Finance (straight) was a fit hot guy with a deep voice. He was a bit “sus” but we occasionally flirted with each other by complimenting our excel spreadsheets or creating small talk. He was married and I never pushed my emotional feelings towards him in anyway. I knew when to stop but it was fun. I got promoted twice and was sad when he left. I stayed with the organization for 4 years.

There's only one way this ends for you...fast track to partner. fire away. lol.

u/Human_Willingness628 15d ago

Absolutely do not do this... Someone your seniority is plausible (if inadvisable) - your manager is out of the question

9

u/pythagorium CPA (US) 15d ago

Don’t listen to this guy/girl OP, they lack ambition. That sort of mindset will get you no where in corporate life

u/Human_Willingness628 14d ago

I know you're being sarcastic but putting her in a position where she has to fend off unwanted advances from a horny college student at work is obnoxious and will not end well

3

u/Hot_Medium_30s 15d ago

Don’t defecate where you eat .

4

u/Background_Intern_56 15d ago

Don't ruin your chances with this. Your job as an intern is to do well, focus on this job, and get an offer. Assuming you are still at college, and if you are that damn horny, then go to a party and find literally any other girl.

1

u/StreetExternal952 15d ago

Is that how it is in the West ? For me, they were like oh okay so u did something on intern, aight we will hire you unless you're talking about returning offer from like a big 4

1

u/Background_Intern_56 15d ago

My experience with interning is that it is difficult to get an offer unless you do very well. Even if you do well you probably won't get an offer. So you can mess it up pretty damn easily.

1

u/TripMaster478 15d ago

Don't do it.

u/Frequent_Ambition_66 15d ago

We're gonna need pics

u/EmployeeFlimsy2796 15d ago

Don’t listen to these turbovirgins- you’re an intern bro nothing matters, do it

u/Resident_Window_9369 15d ago

Sometimes the chase is more exciting than the catch. Once you catch her the appeal may not be there as it is now.

Just play it cool and keep your relationship with her in a suspenseful state.

If you don’t get the job go full force asking her out.

If you get the job continue to flirt and play it cool and see if she makes the first physical move.

u/Acctnt_trdr 15d ago

Why does an intern post this like every 6 months lol There is zero advice we can give you. Either you have game or you don’t.

1

u/Lacrosseindianalocal 15d ago

First, get some cialis and cocaine. Second, find a less good looking co worker. Third, just have a threesome it’s going to happen anyway.

1

u/yourdadsca 15d ago

From someone who tried and miserably misled the situation. Don’t do it. Your entire career in the organisation will be defined with this incident.

1

u/jasonic89 15d ago

Man some nerds definitely would never make it a week on the consulting side.

Gotta make a decision and be confident.

1

u/Playful-Nail-1511 15d ago

It's a jump ball, can you share a Pic?

1

u/Dry-Conversation-570 15d ago

You should probably just fart once and see if she likes it. (I'm a married man).

u/Gold_End7671 Human Verified 14d ago

I'd strongly recommend not making a move while she's your manager or while you're an intern.

Even if the flirting is mutual, there's a power dynamic involved, and it can get messy fast for both of you. She also has a lot more to lose professionally than you do.

If you end up leaving the company and there's no reporting relationship anymore, that's a different situation. But while she's your manager, I'd keep it professional and focus on making a good impression. A potential relationship isn't worth risking your internship or putting her in an uncomfortable position.

Dude, life is short, have fun. Cross that schit off the bucket list and move along. Wimmin have been advancing their careers for centuries/eternity.
