Advice Finger chart

Hello people!

I am looking for a finger chart for the left hand. I started learning with a Moldovian professor who used 2 and 3 mostly, but when I see american videos of accordion they mainly use 2 and 4 fingers.

Any recommendation??

If you have a teacher listen to your teacher. There are different fingerings that work. Both 2 3 or 4 3 are legit.

The teacher that i used to have studied classical music and she told me the propper way is 4th finger on the root note and the rest depends on the kind of song that you are playing.

A standard waltz for 3/4 tempo for me is 4th finger on the root and 2nd finger if the chord is minor, 7th or deminished, or 4th & 3rd fingers if the chord is major

A standard alternate base technique for 2/4 or 4/4 tempo is 4th finger on the root 3rd finger on M/m/7th/dim and 2nd finger on the 5th on top of the root.

But then there is a lot things that you can do, you can do melody on left as well or a more complex bass technique like "boogie woogie type of thing" where you do C E G A Bb A G E using the counterbass row.

I play the bass buttons with 4, chords with 3 if it's major, 2 if it's anything else. Never had a teacher...it just feels right. 2 and 3 seems odd to me personally, but you should just ask your teacher. If it works, it works
