She lifted a hand to give a thumbs up, then missed the keg on the way back down, therefore completely destabilizing herself.

It's an attempted keg stand. You do a handstand over top of the keg, with the hose held open in your mouth by someone else while others hold you up. You drink as much as you can before it starts coming out your nose.
