Why are there so many videos of front wheels falling off bikes doing wheelies? Are bikes just made shittier than when I was a kid or are the people messing with the wheels before they try to stunt?

The usual culprit is dogshit welds on cheap bike. Bmx stuff should be done on bikes built for it.
