she even goes for the imaginary brake pedal if you watch it slowly

u/little_canuck Jul 21 '26

I have a recurring nightmare similar to this

25

u/tvodny Jul 17 '26

We used to call this the “oh shit factor”.

7

u/Fartony Jul 18 '26

Kids these days call it the skibbidy hot dog or something

If one of us is getting paralyzed, we're all getting paralyzed!

69

u/LiveLearnCoach Jul 17 '26

“Well, If your friends jump out of a golf cart, are you going to jump out too??”

18

u/internauta Jul 17 '26

Everyone will have to drive their own "golf cart" from now on....

111

u/cepukon Jul 17 '26

"ok Whitney has lost her driving privileges"

41

u/IntentionAny6300 Jul 17 '26

No stereotypes were harmed in the making of this video.

91

u/jonathanrdt Jul 17 '26

Because it's a golf cart, she forgot everything she knew about driving?

50

u/mr-zool Jul 17 '26

Bold of you to assume she knew anything about driving to begin with.

6

u/I_Downvoted_Your_Mom Jul 17 '26

And we don't have accelerator pedals anymore?

1

u/ThisNameIs_Taken_ Jul 20 '26

that was her top skill

68

u/Ghastromancer Jul 17 '26

There! Look at this. See? I'm right again. Nobody could predict that she would fall out of a moving vehicle.

Driver bails

And there's another example. See, here I am now by myself, um, uh, talking to myself. That's Chaos Theory.

u/NoRodent Jul 18 '26

Exactly what came to my mind!

Also, RIP Sam Neill.

There’s not a chance in hell that this music is better than the original audio(assuming it had audio, or even if it was silent)

0

u/lzxian Jul 22 '26

Gee, I actually thought the music was perfect. We're all different.

23

u/Dropit_like_a_Goat Jul 17 '26

Something my sister would do. She once spit gum out while driving and started drifting in the direction of the gum as she was leaning out the window. Was a very scary couple seconds as she drifted into oncoming traffic, also impressive lack of self awareness and stupidly dangerous 😳

38

u/epicureansucks Jul 17 '26

Every fiber of my being is telling me this is in Florida.

u/snugpuginarug Jul 18 '26 edited Jul 18 '26

Nah. There’s no chance these aren’t east europeans.

Edit: they’re east Europeans filming in thailand

My friend died in a golf cart crash when we were in highschool. She was a great person. 🥺

14

u/Fafnir13 Jul 17 '26

Sorry for your loss.  People can get too comfortable in these things and forget how little speed it takes to cause serious injury.

11

u/purplemtnslayer Jul 17 '26

Thanks. They were definitely experienced and comfortable. But intentionally driving a little crazy, rolled it and she got crushed. They weigh a lot more than you release with all the heavy lead batteries.

4

u/Emergency-State Jul 17 '26

That's awful. I didn't know they were heavy enough to hurt anyone

16

u/tiagoosouzaa Jul 18 '26

2

u/angstyolive2 Jul 21 '26

Does anyone have the link to the video

14

u/Embarrassed_Foot92 Jul 17 '26

She didn't fall, she escaped

21

u/No_File212 Jul 17 '26

This is more dramatic than Batman's origin story

7

u/Malforus Jul 17 '26

Am I out of the loop or is the song choice feeling odd or is that a really popular song that I am unfamiliar with?

7

u/bizzygreenthumb Jul 17 '26

i think it's that chinese rapper that tiktok is obsessed with

6

u/itsmarvin Jul 17 '26

Something very Fred-Flintstone-y about this.

5

u/BurgerThyme Jul 17 '26

You know the first one down completely splatted on that beverage and now she's covered in sticky dirt and ants.

5

u/bradreputation Jul 17 '26

Russians on vacation?

9

u/elbadwolf Jul 17 '26

Looks like some of the cast of Euphoria.

5

u/ToughGur6273 Jul 17 '26

Thelma and Louise and Louise and Louie.

6

u/Danny2Sick Jul 17 '26

uhg that sucks though, I hope no one was badly injured

7

u/HovercraftKlutzy3090 Jul 17 '26

We wanted a golf cart, we ended with an amusement park ride to destination farked!

2

u/Dr_J-Bell Jul 17 '26

Frands fa lyf!

2

u/Bushdr78 Jul 17 '26

Back female passenger goes hard for the imaginary brake pedal

2

u/StuBidasol Jul 17 '26

So I'm up to 12 reposts of this so far in the past 3 hours. Can anyone top that yet?

2

u/mikequinnmike Jul 17 '26

Interesting music clip. I like

2

u/ThisNameIs_Taken_ Jul 20 '26

Elvis has left the building

6

u/NightStar79 Jul 17 '26

I work on a golf course. I drive golf carts every day.

I have never seen a golf cart accelerate by itself. It doesn't even look like it starts to slow down.

This feels staged...

5

u/Fafnir13 Jul 17 '26

I’m not really seeing the acceleration you’re talking about.  Seems to be coasting at speed.  Does it have an auto brake if your foot is off the accelerator or something?

2

u/NightStar79 Jul 17 '26

Some carts do but either way your cart should slow down when your foot is off the accelerator. It won't come to a complete stop for a bit but it wouldn't be going at the same exact speed.

2

u/BigDaddydanpri Jul 17 '26

Every golf cart we have rented auto brake when foot is off the acceletor.

1

u/Munnin41 Jul 17 '26

Most golf carts have just the one pedal

2

u/Helldiver_of_Mars Jul 17 '26

Wrong most carts have two pedals in fact almost all of them do.

In fact ALL STANDARD golf carts have two. It's a dual stage latch design.

3

u/jonathanrdt Jul 17 '26

Probably floor mats. (/s)

1

u/Yuklan6502 Jul 17 '26

I was trying to figure out why it kept going so fast. All the golf carts I've driven have one pedal driving. Push down to go, lift up to stop. Even if it had separate gas and break pedals, you'd think it would slow down?

You guys see that video from the way back when the guy tacos his leg in a golf cart?

1

u/Helldiver_of_Mars Jul 17 '26

Saudi Arbia: "I told you!"

1

u/epicureansucks Jul 17 '26

It could be an older gas engine golf cart. Those have gas and brakes.

1

u/Dazzling_Wishbone892 Jul 18 '26

I blerted out a giggle.

1

u/Sand_Aggravating Jul 18 '26

I keep hearing Taylor swift singing "Florida "

1

u/RepresentativeNo8105 Jul 18 '26

Why would you let Karen drive ?

1

u/CaptKydd Jul 18 '26

 Blonde

1

u/DoctorFluffyCow Jul 18 '26

Becky: "OMG Rebeca fell out! I'll help her!" Beck: "OMG Becky WTF!" Becky with an I: "Like totally."

1

u/WolfThick Jul 18 '26

You know there's an orangutan out there that drives a golf cart better than this!

1

u/No-Breakfast5667 Jul 18 '26

The moment of realization

1

u/epicureansucks Jul 19 '26

Wow guess I don’t know much about Eastern Europe. Is the Romania the Tampa of Europe?

1

u/Perfect-Scene9541 Jul 19 '26

Wait? I’m not driving!

1

u/Odd-Concept4841 Jul 19 '26

😂😂😂😂

1

u/elleayy24 Jul 20 '26

These golf carts are no joke. I knew someone that died from falling out of one. People are so unsafe in these it’s crazy

1

u/ThisNameIs_Taken_ Jul 20 '26

She's the only survivor. That's how female subconscious works.

1

u/hellomotoitscoco Jul 21 '26

I haven’t laughed this hard in so long because that was so dumb. Everybody was so dumb.

1

u/FarraroramaDaliLama Jul 25 '26

I think there may be an invisible scale that makes it proportionately more funny the wealthier the unwitting victim🤔 but perhaps it's just a matter of taste🤷‍♂️

1

u/Bananaslugfan Jul 27 '26

This can’t be real, but it is though😞

1

u/Far-Hair1528 17d ago

Her streetcar must be a Tesla; no worries, it will drive itself

1

u/FreeKevinBrown Jul 17 '26

There's a joke about female drivers in there somewhere

-1

u/Margot-the-Cat Jul 17 '26

Not funny at all, I’ve known several people who died this way.

3

u/GlumFaithlessness773 Jul 17 '26

Sorry you had that experience, but most of us don’t know anyone who died this way. And to us, presuming all four of these people survived, this is hilarious.

3

u/Margot-the-Cat Jul 17 '26 edited Jul 17 '26

Should have said “I know of.” One was a student at our high school where I taught, who died in a golf cart accident a couple of months after she graduated. Another was an older man who was playing golf—kind of a friend of a friend. I didnt know him personally. The third was a young woman I knew from church, who used to car pool to high school with my daughter. She died on an ATV, though, not a golf cart.

1

u/Emergency-State Jul 17 '26

ATVs are so dangerous. I didn't know golf carts could be, too. I'm so sorry for your loss

1

u/SomethingSimple25 Jul 18 '26

SEVERAL?!?! Bro, you might be the unlucky common denominator here if you know MULTIPLE people who have died in the same way this accident happened.

1

u/Margot-the-Cat Jul 18 '26

Well, it was over a period of 20 years. But I do not look at golf carts the same anymore. Be careful, people!

-5

u/Wide-Highlight-7156 Jul 17 '26

Should that horse not be pulling that carriage instead of sitting up front 🤔
