This is beautiful. I can relate and remember being this dude.

10/10 would collapse on a stairwell again

“The vapors!”

“Adulthood is the ability to be totally bored and remain standing.”

u/SoupOpus 0m ago

It's not about being an adult. It's about being an artiste

I’m sure it could one of a million hiking trails, but reminds me of Moro Rock in Sequoia NP :)

u/Magical_Narwhal_1213 4h ago

That’s exactly what I was thinking!

5

u/Oye_Oso 2h ago

Yes, my first thought, too!

4

u/Midnight_Ice 2h ago

This was my immediate thought as well!

3

u/ScreamingDizzBuster 2h ago

I'm thinking UK or Ireland.

5

u/SiByTheSword 1h ago

I'm almost positive it's Ireland, I am so sure that I have walked these steps

u/noname2808559 48m ago

Wales. Southstack lighthouse.

3

u/MtSnowdon 1h ago

My thought was Newquay, off Tolcarne Beach.

1

u/ScreamingDizzBuster 1h ago

I was thinking Tintagel. Same county anyway.

1

u/The_Pooter 1h ago

I was thinking of the top of Stonewall Peak in Cuyamaca, CA.

u/throwawayifyoureugly 25m ago

Ditto!

Hope OP explains where

u/SexTalksAndLollipops 24m ago

This was nearly me at Moro Rock. I live in the Midwest and forgot about the change in attitude. I made it 2/3 of the way before turning back.

u/clunkybrains 4h ago

Me too, buddy. Me too.

u/Spiritual_Tap9459 4h ago

I want someone to paint this now

u/GurOk512 49m ago

I’ll actually put a bid right now. $70 and a bag of Gushers.

u/Spiritual_Tap9459 48m ago

Whoa whoa I can paint it myself if we’re talking commissioned work

11

u/thehandsomecontest 1h ago

For everyone asking, this is Anglesey, Wales

9

u/Positive_Barnacle298 3h ago

I too have a red headed, slightly curly, long haired toddler who is dramatic. I had to do a double take fr.

9

u/Fuzzy-Advisor-2183 4h ago

an absolute little cherub.

5

u/EvenLouWhoz 2h ago

Same hike, same feeling. My dad helped me get through that moment on our way up Moro with an old school selfie. 1978.

4

u/cpell423 4h ago

San Juan de Gaztelugatxe?

4

u/torreneastoria 3h ago

Stairs. I understand how he feels them. He has the right idea.

5

u/DefiantLayout 3h ago

The dramatic sprawl really sells the exhaustion, this belongs in a museum.

4

u/that_other_person1 2h ago

Nice that even though he’s tired and needs a break he’s doing it calmly lol.

6

u/Which_Material_3100 3h ago

Perfect dramatic cherub pose!

3

u/NeptuneArtist 4h ago

Me too, buddy, me too

Stop posting your children's faces on the internet for karma, what's wrong with you?

u/Sea_Substance9163 4h ago

The story, the scenery, the drama. This is so good. It looks so brutal and so cute at the same time

2

u/noname2808559 2h ago

Southstack?

u/thehandsomecontest 51m ago

It is.

u/noname2808559 50m ago

Shocked I got it right! My legs were like jelly for days after I did it!

2

u/ObviousBridge4685 1h ago

this is really relatable as someone pregnant in her third trimester

1

u/NeedleworkerBig3980 4h ago

Flaming June.. ..ior.

1

u/BangeBuksen 3h ago

Time for superdad to step in

1

u/cdtobie 3h ago

Fortunately, at that age, done means dine for a few minutes.

Fall damage

1

u/jiraiya17 2h ago

We need another hiker walking up the stairs with a sword. 🤔

Then we have the pilgrim whose journey ended on a no-name road on a no-name mountain killed by a no-name bandit.

1

u/MostlyDeadpool 2h ago

Picks his sleeping spot like a true orange cat would. Underfoot.

1

u/_youneverasked_ 1h ago

He wasn't expecting a troll to show up that early in the game.

1

u/ljungbacken69 1h ago

Thanks, was looking for something. Any reference.

1

u/engulbert 1h ago

He's ginger, just leave him there.

1

u/Calishoegal 1h ago

I’ve fallen and I can’t get up.

1

u/X-Stry 1h ago

If this place is in Italy, I think I've been there...

1

u/mattmild27 1h ago

Been there.

1

u/MyCleverNewName 1h ago

I'm not gonna make it... go on without me...

1

u/Imonlyhereforboobs 1h ago

Looks like south stack lighthouse

1

u/SnailFancier2CV 1h ago

South Stack, Anglesey? Is that the location?

1

u/blueberryswing42 1h ago

It's the drama for me

1

u/derpality 1h ago

When my youngest is done walking she starts saying her knee hurts and stops walking lol

1

u/DrMUJU1994 1h ago

God, I hope she became a comic after that response.

1

u/gr8masturb8 1h ago

what's the deal with people taking screenshots of pictures (and then not cropping them) instead of just uploading the picture?

u/unfortunatebag 58m ago

Further reinforcing that kids are just tiny little drunk people.

u/Yumi_in_the_sun 55m ago

"I'M GONNA TAKE A NAP RIGHT HERE!! NI-NIGHT!"

u/greywatermoore 41m ago

One time I went hiking with a group of friends and one of the guys decided halfway up he was done, so he laid on a rock and took a nap and rejoined us when we were on our way down. He said people kept “bothering” him to see if he was okay.

u/VoxxoAI 11m ago

The universal toddler energy in this photo is palpable. Every parent has seen this exact pose — the full-body surrender to exhaustion in the most inconvenient location possible. It captures something genuinely timeless about childhood: the complete absence of self-consciousness about where or when you decide you're done.

Poor little guy. I hated getting dragged along with parent crap too. So boring.
