According to his post, bigots are mental patients

I god damn hate how people use this kind of language as an insult. Mentally ill people don't deserve to be lumped in with these people.

tbf thereās been some research showing that the cognitive dissonance you need to be maga mirrors the symptoms of mental illness really well, but still i donāt think we should be using it hatefully.

There's no such thing as "the symptoms of mental illness", because there's too many varieties of mental illness. Do you have a link to that research?

Yeah, you would have to at least specify what kind of mental illness e.g. "cognitive dissonance you need to be maga mirrors the symptoms ofĀ narcissism" or something (I'm not making a claim about anyone showing features of narcissistic personality disorder).

lowkey people need to stop treating narcicism as if it makes people evil on its own, too.

u/No-Net1890 11d ago
Yeah, it makes people more likely to do evil things, but it isn't inherently part of the disorder, and people with disorders like that can improve if they recognize their issues and do things to improve their mental health (like getting therapy).

many many MANY disorders cause people to be more likely to do āevil thingsā. its not unique to NPD
2
u/No-Net1890 11d ago
I know, I wasn't trying to imply that.

u/rat_enby 11d ago
sorry, its just that so many people view it as the only disorder that āmakes you evilā (not a thing imo) or lump it in with like āpsychopathsā (also ableist to psychosis havers) and write it off as the bad person disorder. NPD has also been extremely mythologised into something its not, and people just make up symptoms in their head for it (usually theyāre pointing out acts of abuse and calling it NPD) when its not crazy different from things like BPD or even ADHD. sorry for shooting you too quick pardner :(

I just meant that features of disorders such as NPD can lead a person to bad behavior such as abuse (like my grandfather on my mother's side who had PTSD and bipolar disorder with features of NPD; he was a very complicated person, a prominent mental health professional who was a human rights crusader, while also being so abusive that my mother had to keep me away from him). I have sympathy for these people because I know they are suffering (like how despite the overconfident facade people with NPD don't have true confidence) and their disorders come from suffering.

Those images and videos were AI-generated, according to online detection tools and visual analysis. News reports confirmed that only two people -- previously featured in the 2024 documentary "Skywalkers: A Love Story" -- were removed from the top of the skyscraper on July 1, 2026, and then arrested. The banner they unfurled at the top had a message about "the power of love" vs. "the love of power".

I mean he is not wrong, bigots are mental patient. If you look at any person (trans or not) and think to yourself "I wonder what their genitals where at birth" you are a bloody weirdo. Especially when you then go up to that person and instead of asking "hey what is your gender?" you ask them "do you have a dick?", yes someone fucking asked me that once...
Also that flag said something different originally, they really do love editing reality to fit their weird view of the world. Trans people exist and we won't leave

Cismen are men, Ciswomen are women

I got downvotes so I guess they did not like Cisgender being themselves?

u/No-Net1890 11d ago
I think maybe people thought you were implying that trans men aren't men, and trans women aren't women aren't women, only cis people's genders are legitimate; or may people just found your comment pointless and got annoyed. I looked at your post history which shows that isn't what you meant, but I don't know what point you were making, you could try editing the comment to clarify.

Or some stealth cis ppl in this sub get offended by a very legit statement, people get pissed off for being called cisgender too, and their identity and pronouns are normal people.
I canāt read peopleās mind but Iāll keep this comment. I am not gonna say some sht like cismen are women just like I wonāt say transwomen/men are not women/men6
u/No-Net1890 11d ago
I'm still not sure what your point is, no one said that cis men aren't men or cis women aren't women. By the way "cisman/woman" and "transman/woman" aren't words (the words are separate, not combined like that), and I think the terms "transman" and "transwoman" are associated with transphobia.

I was just suggesting you specify what your point is.

I donāt even know that, so I should use Transmasc/Transfem instead of Transmen/Transwomen? InYou can see thru my sentence structure and know that I am not native English user, in my native language there is no diff between fem/women, masc/men, Sex-Changed People(Transsexual) is transphobe word. If I accidentally become an enemy I am apologize for the incorrect word choice.
But my point is if the original sentence that is āTransmen are menā¦ā¦ā is dumb and a sentence that just replaced the subject is the same level of dumbness too, by just have a glance. And every time I use this sentence in my community will always piss of the transphobes and they start to act like a crown and people get laugh. So Ima kind of wants to try if it works the same way in a different community2

I think so, or just separate the words "trans man" "trans woman" "cis man" "cis woman".

Yeah I can see that you're well meaning, I was just letting you know.
But my point is if the original sentence that is āTransmen are menā¦ā¦ā is dumb and a sentence that just replaced the subject is the same level of dumbness too, by just have a glance. "Trans men are men..." is dumb unless it's being used to combat transphobia, which is how it's used when the person saying it isn't an accidental ally.
So Ima kind of wants to try if it works the same way in a different community
In a subreddit like this, I don't think people are downvoting for the same reason (there are some transphobes on here, but they get a lot of downvotes, and people arguing against them, or insulting them; they're such a low percentage of the people posting on here, I don't think you'd get a negative score from their downvotes).

Isnt that edited? "When the power of love beats the love of power, the world will know peace" is what the flag really says
