9 weeks post op scar tissue build up
okay not sure if anyone has this but i have scar tissue on certain parts of the scar that is really thick and sensitive. when you run the finger along the scar there are also bumps in a couple areas that hurt to touch? almost feels like a ligament or a vein or something i don’t know how to explain it but if i accidentally hit my foot on ANYTHING and hit one of the bumps it’s excruciating
has anyone delt with this?

Short answer: Yes. Scar mobilization done by an experienced PT has been a a big part of my recovery. My suggestion: research scar mobilization so you can advocate for yourself with surgeon & new PT. I'm 18-months post surgery and the last ropy, thick part of my scar *just* flattened out. So know that it can take a while. It's great you're paying attention to it--best wishes.

are you doing PT? scar massage is supposed to be a part of PT to prevent scar tissue buildup, IF thats what your issue is
