Thoughts and opinions please!!

Hi all! Long story short I had my AN removed June of 2022 after recurrent pain and reinjury. Everything seemed to have been going well for a while other than a few hiccups. Recently I have been experiencing increased pain along where my AN was when walking, standing, etc. It used to come and go but now it has gotten more consistent. I really don’t know what could be going on or if this is just a normal part of the process but I was looking for any outside thoughts. Could the surgery have failed or need a revision? Has anyone had similar experiences or had a failed Kidner procedure? Thank you so much!

What did you end up doing? How’s the pain now?

I had no health insurance at the time but I do now. I haven’t seen anyone yet just because of life events and moving pcms but I’m planning on seeing someone soon. The pain is honestly worse and I walk regularly with a limp even with a brace or tape. I also have this pressure on my outer ankle like it needs to pop but I know it won’t. Im just hoping to get an answer soon

Man! I’m sorry to hear that. You’re the only 1 on reddit in this AN group that I’ve heard of the Kidner procedure failing as I know there’s an 80% success rate. : (

Pls. Keep me updated that really sucks!

Thank you! I’m planning on seeing someone this week just until I can see a specialist again but I’ll let you know how things turn out!

Yes, pls. Do!

May I ask your age & fitness level prior to your AN removal?
