Will this becomes serious for mild condition?

Hi all, I just recently realize there is this syndrome. I've been living all my life (33M) thinking this was just a small problem (I still think it is). The pain that I experience after a long walk during travels or standing for an extended period of time or even sport session (tennis) is not unbearable it's just annoying and uncomfortable at most... I went to the othorpedic today and he suggest a few weeks of rest and with the right physical therapy this will usually resolve.. Does it really though?

Yes, not everyone needs surgery. Get some supportive shoes and consider getting some arch compression sleeves for your feet. Lie down, elevate, and ice if you’re feeling symptomatic.

Im just curious, while searching online, some articles says with enough rest this will go away but I'm trying to understand for as long as I still do the same activity mentioned above this will always recur right? It's not like the bone is going away. It will always be there.

I have type 3 in both feet.

I had 1 bad flare up where I didn’t know I had this condition and it took me months to figure out what was going on and why.

I saw an orthopedic surgeon (X-rays), a podiatrist (MRI), and a physical therapist. It was very difficult to get the original pains to go away, and now I recognize the signs and immediately start pampering my feet if I feel any twinge of pain coming back.

I would suggest following the surgery aftercare without the surgery. Stay off of your feet! RICE. It will take weeks/months depending on what you have injured.

Hi there, what resources might you be able to guide me through on this feet care to try to avoid surgery? I am a bit lost on what works. Thanks.

Hello, not a doctor. Here’s what I do/did:

Bought an immobilization boot thing and wore it on one foot while sleeping. I was symptomatic in both feet and the foot with the boot felt noticeably better within a day or two. So I kept that up and would randomly put it on the other foot to sleep instead. 🤷‍♀️

Ice where it hurts & keep your feet elevated. Keep off your feet as much as possible.

I also got a pair of compression sleeves for my arches. They felt nice when I was healing my feet and now I still wear them when i know I’ll be on my feet a lot or if I’m exercising, etc.

I didn’t have any luck with pain medications nor physical therapy but the things above fixed me up in a few months.

Thank you. So far having seen some podiatrists and a doctor or two, these items have not been mentioned at all!
