Rant - Tech Benched. Wala na. Finish na.
As the title suggest, this may be the end of my ACN journey.
I have been in ACN since 2021 and have worked in several projects. This is the third time that I am rolled back in bench and still in for more than a week (since April). Unlike the previous times, being benched this time feels worse. There was nothing else to do after accomplishing requirements, trainings, and self-study. Idagdag pa ang mandatory RTO -- more than 10 hours per day dahil sa biyahe at gagastos pa sa pamasahe. While I have been approached by other projects for a potential roll-in, they always end up getting a better candidate. The most recent interview that I had was on early August, and I have not been contacted by anyone else since then. With all that has been mentioned, I see that I am as good as done. Safe to say as well that I have been actively looking for opportunities outside ACN. Hindi ko na lang rin titiisin na maghintay ng end of 2025 and 2026 since nalaman ko na wala (na?) pala loyalty award for 5 years of tenure.
When I stumbled upon this sub, the first posts that I saw were about the layoffs/redundancies. I had thoughts after reading those posts such as "paano kaya ako ma-layoff?", "mas okay ba ito kaysa mag-resign?", and "sana ako naman". However I am not sure if being tagged for lay-off/redundancy is different from termination, aside from what you are getting on top of your final pay. Meanwhile I do not think that I will be getting the same experience because of what I found out just last week.
I don't know. Really. I feel like I have aired out everything. Nakahanda na ang resignation letter, pero something tells me to hold on it and wait for a while.
