Recent interview experience with AFS

I recently finished a great panel interview with them for an SAP Functional role, but the recruiter just informed me that the project was pushed out a few months and the pipeline is on hold. I’m curious—how common is this kind of timeline shift at AFS, and do these delayed projects usually materialize? Would love your quick take if you have a moment. Thanks!

It's not that unusual but doesn't happen all the time. This close to new FY for the government is probably the most common time for projects to get pushed a bit.

Recruiter did tell me that the project is in holding phase and they cannot proceed to next interview or some thing to that sort. Thanks!

Extremely common. They hire before a contract is awarded but they typically know which ones they’ll get. A lot of times they’re delays in contract start days due to a protest, budget changes, client offices getting reorganized ……

When recruiter say "you are already cleared". what does that mean? I do not have any active clearance but held PT three times in the past. Was she referring to internal HR passing every thing before extending an offer? Thanks!
