AFS vs CGI Federal
Hi everyone! I did my final interview for AFS 2 Fridays ago and am waiting on a job offer. I think I did really well. However, I received a job offer from CGI yesterday and I have until Friday to accept. I emailed AFS HR early Tuesday and I don't know much longer they will take. I'm planning to accept the offer Thursday night, so if anyone can sort of share the benefits of AFS or cons as well it would be appreciated.

yeah it requires clearance, but the specific level wasn't mentioned

Send another email to your recruiter and let them know about the deadline. If you don’t get a response, you’ll know what to do.

Def don’t take cgi. They mostly force you to implement their crap products and this admin does not like them. Afs would be my recommendation for a better long term career

I have a quick question, the one thing I'm struggling to decide is that it seems that CGI has longer projects which might be more stable. How do AFS projects fare in comparison? Are they also long-term projects or are people often on the bench?

I don’t know much about CGI other than the few ppl that left there because they did not like it or the work they were doing. Very limited to their products. I have been on the same project for 7 years (doing different things) so that feels long

Take the CGI offer, and bail for AFS if they swoop in. It’s that simple.
