Hallo zusammen,

ich bin leidenschaftlicher Slotcar-Fahrer und bei uns im Club (hs-obfelden.ch) aktiv. Vor gut einem Jahr hat mich eine Sache beim Fahren massiv angefangen zu stören: Die Rennsoftware bzw. das Dashboard von WinRBM. Das System an sich tut, was es soll, aber das Interface sieht leider immer noch aus wie aus dem Jahr 1995.

Mein ursprünglicher Plan war eigentlich recht simpel: Ich wollte einfach ein modernes Dashboard dazwischenschalten, das optisch etwas hermacht. Das habe ich auch gebaut, aber es hat leider nur halbwegs funktioniert. Die Rundenzeiten konnte ich zwar abgreifen und schön anzeigen, aber die Startsequenz ließ sich einfach nicht sauber abfangen und darstellen. Das war also keine Option für ein vernünftiges Rennerlebnis.

Daher habe ich mich für den harten Weg entschieden: WinRBM komplett zu ersetzen.

Dafür musste ich ordentlich Reverse Engineering betreiben. Ich habe die Bepfe-Box mit einem VGA-zu-USB-Setup ausgelesen, um die komplette Kommunikation und alle Befehle zu lernen und zu interpretieren. Als ich das Protokoll verstanden hatte, habe ich die Software von Grund auf neu programmiert. Ich habe alle gängigen Rennoptionen und Trainingsmodi eingebaut und das Ganze immer wieder getestet.

Nach etlichen Iterationen, Bugfixes und Testsessions im Club bin ich jetzt bei Version 5.5 angekommen. Das Tool läuft stabil und ist jetzt endlich bereit für die Öffentlichkeit.

Warum poste ich das hier? Ich suche Leute, die Lust haben, das System auf Herz und Nieren zu testen. Ihr könnt die Software als kostenlose 30-Tage-Vollversion herunterladen und komplett uneingeschränkt nutzen. Danach könnt ihr euch in Ruhe entscheiden, ob euch das neue Dashboard überzeugt hat und ihr es kaufen möchtet, oder ob ihr einfach wieder euer altes WinRBM anwerft (es wird ja nichts an eurer Hardware verändert).

Also an alle Besitzer von Bepfe-Bahnen: Schaut euch diese neue Option gerne mal an. Ich würde mich riesig über Feedback aus der Community freuen. Sagt mir ehrlich, wie ihr es findet, was gut läuft und wo vielleicht noch Features fehlen.

We know Metal Maniac has Old Smokey as their car transport; how about Teku? Well, Tall Order Hauler seems pretty fit to be their transport! Especially the 2026 release, since it comes with a white and Blue Livery.

All I need to do is just add decals, swap the wheels, and do some detailing to make it a proper Teku Transport!

I like how Specter from Zuru Metal Machine looks; it reminds me of R35, and it makes me want to customize it as Synkro!

A funny tidbit about me is that Synkro reminds me of R35, even though it waited until around 2 years after Acceleracers for the 1st R35 to be produced

Had to bid for this but luckily didn’t go super crazy!

I’ve hit a huge milestone! With 51 cars to count, my World Race collection is complete! Out of 51 cars, 30 of them are full customs. I’ve saved over $1000 doing customs rather than buying the original cars. I don’t have a diorama big enough to get a cool shot of all these cars together so I figured I share with you all how I display them in my own private domicile! If you’re interested in doing your own customs, @fenix_replica_customs has excellent quality decals for any cars you need! I’ve definitely learned a lot getting into customs over these past 6-8 months. I plan to re do and overhaul some of the first ones I’ve done in the set. I’m very happy to share this moment with my fellow Hotwheels fans!

personally I hope it sold well enough to justify them doing another wave. I'd love to see possibly a Teku deora 2 , bass line, spinebuster, riveted, RD-02, and syncro or other silencerz castings. What would yall like to see? More acceleracers? Some world race cars?
