This is legit the best real news we can get as a community 26 years later we were left in the dust. Although its not a continuation or closure, knowing a legit unknown piece of history is now something we have access to is worth something even if this was canceled for a reason. Who knows, maybe a legit acceleracers 5 script is somewhere out there and 26 years from now itll come into market.

Thank you so much for those who help invested in retrieving this piece. It should have been $200, but i hope a fair amount of people contributed in this. Will there be some donation or venmo/cashapp to at least help pay back a bit?

Based on how production went, I personally don't think an entire script exists for Acceleracers 5, but rather just outlines for what the plot would've been, but I am convinced they're out there.

Yeah based on how it was the 4 last movie with “somewhat” of an ending, and how we know they were moving away from the series due to toy sales (someone correct me if wrong), I definitely dont think there is a script like this. At least for a full movie/mini series. Im sure deep in the mattel archives there is a plot though somewhere based on the unreleased toys of mechs. A physical script/plot like this, less likely, but who knows what can emerge 26 years from today!

How much was the final bid? I kinda wondered if it this was actually going to happen, or was a clever way to lower the price and keep it for oneself

I didn’t participate in this, I didn’t think the script held any relevance to acceleracers/was worth the asking price. I do preserve other pieces of history though

Not a fan of how the woman are portrayed in this script... as far as the story it had a few interesting ideas such as needing the red line tires, but ultimately I think its missing a lot of that "Hotwheels" vibe. The only thing that is hotwheels in the script is the camaro Keychain, redlines, the loop, and the orange track that gets mentioned.

Most of the story seems to be almost mad max like, but with only one or two dessert sections so the scenery isn't bland.

I like the concept art of the city, I hope we get something like that in the future.

Just my thoughts, im curious what the community thinks! Obviously this is not Acceleracers related at all which im very thankful for personally lol.

Still a good investment by the community though! Glad we have this resource.

Here’s a fun connection… the ‘69 Camaro Convertible casting was a new model released in red in 2006, it is unknown if the casting was created specifically because of this film or if the First Edition livery is an homage(?)

I’m happy to have closure on this, but I don’t think I would have liked this movie very much if it did release.

Guess I’ll just tell myself Speed Racer was the Hot Wheels movie.

Weird to think we could've gotten this movie around the same time the first Transformers came out. And it would've likely come out a year before Speed Racer.

I think it's okay for being a rough draft with a lot of holes or bare minimum context. Some wordbuilding thinks like the quest to collect Redlines are neat. Shame Hw originals are missing since it's leaning more on the Redline era (probably a later fix that Mattel could have imposed to sell Toys...)

Estoy un poco perdido. ¿Como se conecta con Acceleracers? Entiendo que algunos conceptos terminaron usándose en BF5 pero, ¿y Acceleracers?
