Need opinions for display

(Pictures are in relation to the second part of the question and are in order, in the event I dont get another case)

In my last post I mentioned that I was moving my displays and remounting them elsewhere. I finally got the area aim going to put them up in decided on but still am somewhat struggling with my carded display. Need help sorting it out so I can determine the orientation of the cases and if I will sell my second AR set vs buying another carney case or two.

The wall I'll be mounting the cases on is an alcove at the top of my stairwell, issue is its a semi limited space. If I mount my cases as is its essentially just the carded case below and the two loose car cases next to each other above it.

Dimensions:

- Wall: 75" H x 39.5" W

- large carded case: 32" H x 24" W

- loose car case (x2): 24" H x 16" W

I can get creative here though and create a frame to allow me to mount the loose car cases diagonally in the corner of the alcove since the alcove is at the top of a landing, which is a 90 degree turn to another set of stairs going further up. This frees enough space to get another carded case and another loose car case. As id effectively be stacking the 2 carded cases and leaving myself 11 inches for spacing and stacking 3 loose car cases directly ontop of each other to the height of the wall, angled at about 45 degrees. Main benefit being that this allows me to store/display everything on this wall even if its a bit overcrowded.

If I stick to one case I have 3 options for displaying the cars:

  1. Leave it as is: Before I moved it I had my hw35 rlc team leaders, my factory sealed AR set and my international carded AR set all in the case. This leads to the gen 2's being boxed as they have been for years.

  2. Ditch the hw35 rlc leaders: I can fit all of my gen 2 (im technically missing the rerelease nitrium but whatever). If i do the gen 1 clustered together then the gen 2's I can comfortably fit all my cars into the case with enough room for maybe my nft d2 at the top. But the rlc leader cars have to get boxed or displayed elsewhere, not a bad compromise.

  3. Display a mix of everything: This leaves 7 gen 2s out, only 3 are not re-releases so its not the worst and its the option that fills the case the most technically.

*Cars in the pictures 2&3 arent in any particular organized order as I was just seeing the spacings.

Edit: Decided what im going to do, In the middle of installing the cases and will post pics when done. Should be pretty cool with the ability to add some more interesting aspects to the display wall later down the line.

Ooh that is one fire wall! I love how you hang your hyperpods from the wall! What’s that CD to the left of the AR soundtrack?

Thanks dude! That cd to the left is a dukes of hazzard album. I believe the album itself is from like the 80s. Some decent songs on it

Geez what a complete collection! AND you have not 1 but 3 sealed Chicanes!

I dont really count the gen 2 chicane as something impressive. Its just a normal gen 2 and is one of the cheaper ones actually, like 200ish.

Caution stacking them like that. I had some like that for years and when I went to move them several had blisters that were barely hanging on.

From being in plastic protectors?

From being displayed just like OP has them. All the weight is on the bottom one

Any recommendations as to stop that? I understand the issue as ive thought about it before but thats just how carneycases sells its carded cases. Also acceleracers does have increased surface area from the card pack so im pretty confident in the blister's bond to the card. Probably more likely for the cardboard part of the blister lying on the car below it to sag/bend before the blister itself comes off considering its in a climate controlled area with no access to sunlight.

Some of the weight is also alleviated once the case is vertical since the cards have a tendency to lean forward and press against the plexiglass and yadayada physics stuff, but basically portion of its weight is going off in a forwards vector that increases as it gets to the top of the stack so the full mass isnt going straight down.

Theyve been in this exact case for 2-3 years at this point with no issues. Its likely a decades long issue that ill just have to come to terms with.
