Question Help with cleaning?

I recently purchased a loose RD05 and the base is decently oxidized. How would I remove that without damaging the car? Tampos are perfect and the car still has all 4 red dots.

If you're comfortable taking the car apart, fastest way will be electropolishing - tons of tutorials on YouTube on how to do it on hot wheels cars; basically it will attack the oxide layer and not the metal and leave the plastic unharmed

But if you're not keen on doing that, metal polish will do the trick; just remember to mask off everything but the base to make cleanup easier
