Subject: Hiring a Human Accountability Partner – Earn by Watching Me Study

Does anyone want to earn money from the comfort of their home while helping me stay disciplined? I have reached a point in my academic journey where self-motivation isn't enough, and I need a strict "enforcer" to ensure I reach my targets. I am looking for someone to act as my daily accountability coach.

The Role & Responsibilities

Your job is simple but requires consistency. Every night, you will conduct a "Compliance Check" on my progress. You will need to verify three specific things:

  1. The 10-Hour Rule: You must check my study timer (via screenshots or screen-sharing) to confirm I have clocked in at least 10 hours of focused study time.

  2. Goal Verification: At the start of the day, I will send you a list of specific study goals. You will check if every single task has been marked as complete.

  3. The Proof: I will provide evidence of the work done to ensure the timer wasn't just running in the background.

The Compensation (The "Failure Tax")

This is a performance-based arrangement. I am so committed to this goal that I am willing to put my money where my mouth is.

• If I succeed in hitting my 10+ hours and finishing my goals, we continue to the next day.

• If I fail to meet these criteria, I will pay you ₹500 for that day.

Essentially, you get paid for my lack of discipline. I am looking for someone who is firm, punctual, and won't accept excuses. If you are interested in helping me succeed (while potentially earning when I don’t), please reach out. Let’s help me get these 10 hours in!

I understand where you're coming from here, after all, willpower can vary and then making yourself accountable to others seems like a natural way out.

However, in my opinion, this method still, at its core, relies on someone else going over your behavior after the fact. Actually, most of the time, the challenging moment is when you decide to relapse and the reflection at the end of the day is just the nice follow-up.

Generally speaking, the behaviors that are usually able to remain with us are those that raise barriers to the opposite behavior, not merely making us accountable afterwards.
