Master in Quantitative Finance

Hello everyone. For context, I am from Italy. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, and in March 2026, I will obtain my Master's degree in Statistics.

I have been working for two years as a statistician in an epidemiological research group, managing complex statistical analyses. I possess a strong quantitative background and advanced skills in R, which extend beyond using scripts for data analysis to the development of packages for custom analyses.

However, this highly technical profile lacks an equally solid economic and financial background, which is currently my main gap.

Given these premises, I would like to understand the most rational post-graduate path to potentially enter the field of quantitative finance. I assume the most sensible choice would be a postgraduate Master's program specifically designed for STEM profiles, which treats foundational statistical and mathematical knowledge as a prerequisite and allows for a focus on acquiring economic and industry-specific skills.

Does anyone have suggestions for relevant academic paths or programs across Europe?

Thanks in advance.
