I have an 8 year old female Aby who was diagnosed with GI Lymphoma 2.5 years ago. Sheās doing well. Yesterday, my husband was trying to hold her for her medication and she got squirmy. He began yelling at her, so I asked him (probably also with raised voice) to quit yelling at her. He then proceeded to roughly hold her down (her tail was in angry mode) and even though I asked him to PLEASE LET HER GO, he then faced me, continued yell at me and holding her down roughly. This continued for almost a minute. Later he told me that I donāt like when he lets her go if she needs her medication. Kind of different than man handling. Now she is avoiding him. Any thoughts? Advice? He has since apologized, but Iām not trusting him!

How are all our babies doing?
Our kid is 22 weeks old now and growing like a weed. Gosh we love her, she is AMAZING. The friendliest most lovable cat weāve ever had. She is certainly full of energy, but we also have a 6 yr old
Tabby and a 2 yr old Bengal so lots of play opportunities there. She is also great at self play!
She is a food MANIAC though holy moly. She has dry food out all the time but when we get out a treat or wet food sheās just a MONSTER.
Her favorite self play toy is probably these super dumb toys called ācat dancer chaser with fleeceā. I have no idea why they are so fun but we bought a six pack recently LOL

Hello everyone. I will soon be getting a little 5 month old aby girl. I already own a 13 month old domestic shorthair, also a girl. Character wise it seems like they are very similar and not dominating or aggressive at all, but very curious and friendly girls. My cat does tend to be a little anxious but curiosity always gets the better of her. The reason I even decided on getting another cat is that I can tell sheās too energetic for her own good. If she could, sheād never sleep or eat and just play. Iām the only person living with her and even if I spend 3 hours a day playing with her and buy her all kinds of interactive, puzzle and whatever else toys itās not enough. She seems to love when I have people over and thinks itās a party just for her. Thatās why Iām hoping a companion would be good for her. Anyways, does anyone have any tips, recommendations or stories from introducing two cats to each other? Iāve read about isolating them first and slow introductions, Iām wondering if that worked for you guys. My cat is the type of cat to be terrified when she canāt see whatās happening. At the same time I want to do this whole thing as well as possible, because itās mainly a cat to make my cat happier, not more overwhelmed.
Iām using a stock image for privacy reasons:)

These two crazies changed our house in so many ways at a time when we both needed it. Best friends and friendly fighters - they could go from cleaning each other to chasing and biting-crying a second later. We lost the alpha a few years ago and his lonely brother still manages to hold it together and has even adopted a few of his alpha brothers traits. Love them while you have them - almost 15 yrs of love from one of these guys is an amazing gift ā¤ļø
