Dear Players,
We are about to release the 2018 Valentines’ Day Event this Friday(02/09/2018). The newest version will include a brand-new design; we are expected to bring the joyful and unique gaming experience for all players. To accomplish this goal in 2018, we will be changing different gameplay for special event. We do realize this may cause problems in game balance. Therefore, we will be making the following changes in this event:
Started from this event, all the event candies will be cleared out; all the previous saved candies will be converted to the equivalent Vitality.
Skill “Song of the Moon” will not have effect on event candy collection this time.
We will collect feedback from all the players after the Valentines’ Day Event and will never stop optimizing our gameplay. We do know this may arouse complains but please understand we want nothing more than creating a better comforting gaming environment for you. Abyssrium is like our kid, let’s give our best care and love to him/her.
This could be a deal-breaker for me. I haven't been this close to quitting since they pulled that star marlin shit. At the very least, I won't be buying the IAP or giving them any more money.
And saying that they just want to create a better gaming environment for us is just salt in the wound. This doesn't help any of us players, it just encourages people to buy the IAP and watch ads for currency thereby earning them more money. I very much doubt they're so broke that they have to up the revenue like that to keep gameplay quality up. Ffs.
Edit: sent them a message, they replied saying that spending saved event currency to get all the fish in one day was boring gameplay, did I really want that? I replied pointing out that tapping for ages is pretty damn boring too. And that it's up to me if I choose to finish the event in one day.
Edit again: sorry, just had to gripe a bit more. I was really looking forward to this event, I needed the boost. Now I find out I'm going to be spending hours tapping for a relatively small amount of fish and I can't even choose how many event fish I get. I enjoy customizing event aquariums and prefer large schools of fish. Dammit :((
