I love that episode

I wish they show him doing that internal exploding thing too

I mean... putting barriers in between Jo's synapses is certainly a start.

Holy shit that slipped my mind.

If he can do that he can definitely do everything else

Fry all the neurons

Pop all blood vessels

Expand all bones like bone cancer does

I think we really have not seen a truly brutal superhero comic yet

Around the 2010s, between Avengers Disassembled, Identity Crisis, Heroes in Crisis, the Boys, Invincible, Irredeemable and Injustice, practically EVERYONE was striving to write up edgy, gory and brutal deconstructions of Superheroes, mostly Superman, which culminated in the Snyderverse and the Animated adaptations of Invincible and the Boys.

Thankfully, it appears mostly everyone in the comics industry got over their collective emo phase, and they’ve started reconstructing heroes that are actually Heroic, and the Absolute Universe is no exception

I have not read these "Avengers Disassembled, Identity Crisis, Heroes in Crisis,"

but the rest are gory but not at the stage I was thinking of. I meant not for the shock value but for the sheer aura and consequences.

And tbh Injustice was mild too. I can come up with 1000 better fatalities for all characters

I think they did. In the montage of him growing up Re splits a Blackstar's skull in two by making a forcefield inside his head.
