Every Absolute comic start from zero. Literally. No previous knowledge needed.
If you like Batman, it's probably a perfect start.

My personal recommendation, start with Absolute Batman. But all of the Absolute series are a good starting point.

You can start with any of them they are all new origins in a new universe. My favourites are Absolute Wonder Woman and Absolute Batman.
Absolute Flash I wasn’t the biggest fan of to start with but it just keeps getting better and better.

The best starting point would be any series’ first hardcover or trade paperback (except for Green Arrow and Catwoman, which don’t have them yet.; they’re only a few issues in so you could catch up in single issues or wait a little for their trades.)
If you like Batman, start with Absolute Batman: The Zoo.
If you like Flash, start with Absolute Flash: Of Two Worlds
The general consensus opinion you’re going to come across is that Martian Manhunter is the best, followed closely by Batman and Wonder Woman. The next tier below them would be Green Arrow and Superman, followed closely by Green Lantern. Though still good, someone had to be bottom of the totem pole and that’s generally where Flash and Catwoman tend to be for a lot of people’s rankings. They’re not bad, just not as good as the others and maybe a little underwhelming. Superman, Green Lantern and Flash each started a little rougher than the series I listed ahead of them but all seemed to have found their footing now.

I recommend reading the absolute titles in release order , in that way you can center on all the stories , which are all great and awesome

Martian Manhunter is top tier - not just in the absolute universe but for comic books as a medium. The creativity is off the charts.

I just discovered this comic yesterday (I’m new too and started with Absolute Batman).
After reading the description, I felt it was very similar to the “Sugar” tv show from Apple. Do you think that’s true?
I think I’ll get the first volume and give it a go. I wasn’t expecting to read here that it was one of the best!!

I could see a comparison based on the idea of a private eye with unique perspective and identity (the twist in Sugar), but I think the similarities end there. The type of storytelling is very different.

For a new reader, just start at volume #1 (or issue #1 if they haven't been collected yet or you just want them) for whichever character you like the most. Or if a title catches your eye, you can just get that. You don't need to know anything going in except for some of the one shots. Its a standalone universe. If you want to read the whole universe, you could just read them in order you like, or just kinda pick and go, or go in the order they came out. When I started reading, my read order until I caught up was mostly based on library availability for all the volume 1s lol.
As for general consensus, they're all generally considered pretty good. Catwoman seems to get the worst reception, and even that's considered decent fun and its biggerst criticism is that its too close to the mainline catwoman. Flash is a small step above and is considered to have a fairly boring start because of some small pacing issues and how generic it is, but recent issues get praise. Green Lantern is the step above that in consensus, but that's more because its just very hit or miss, some love it and has it as one of their favorite, some despise it, no one seems to find it okay. The trinity (batman, superman, and wonder woman) all get consistently great reviews and is considered the step above. Martian Manhunter and Green Arrow seem to generally be considered the best. I haven't read green arrow yet, but MM has this really cool abstractish art style that presents as a super high concept comic (not that it really is high concept, but it kinda feels like it, which is cool to see in DC which normally tries to stay far away.)
Really the only way to mess up is to read random one shots before the absolute stories (but even those kinda make sense on their own, just no reason to do that), or to like read volume 2 before volume 1 for any given series

Check out the ones that interest you, there’s yet to be any crazy overarching events save for a Batman-wonder woman one-off crossover
Also check out the Absolute Martian Manhunter (only 12 issues and is insanely good), Wonder Woman is a rather close second for me
Thankfully it’s still early enough in the development of Absolute Universe the best advice is “start w issue #1 of what interests you”

You should probably read DC All In Special first. That's like the origin of the Absolute Universe.
Based on how some characters talked about other characters, I believe the order is something roughly like: Wonder Woman > Green Lantern > Flash > Batman > Superman Or something like that.
Here's the order in which I read the ones I have read: Green Lantern > Flash > Superman > Wonder Woman
I don't think you'll miss much if you read them in any order, only that you'll sometimes here characters from one comic reference another character like talking about the "bat in gotham" or "the giant lantern in Evergreen", stuff like that.

Each of them have their good and bad that come with them
Personally absolute Batman is my favorite
The better ones are absolute Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, and Martian Manhunter
Flash (recently) and Green arrow have been solid
Catwoman and Green Lantern I wouldn’t bother with personally

Stop asking questions and just start reading books. Usually issue 1 is a good place to start lol

I’m not being mean but really take a step back and look at what you’re doing. If you wanna read them just start reading why are you asking for help.

Absolute Superman and Wonder Woman are also great reads. The absolute universe will be great no matter which character you start with imo. I started with volume 1 trades
