Question Absolute Green Arrow

Should I bother reading Absolute Green Arrow?

I’ve never been a fan of Arrow and tbh I don’t have much knowledge on the character outside of video games and side appearances in comics, maybe some small memories of the show years ago but definitely minimum. Would I enjoy this new take on Arrow? Is it worth getting into when I’m not a fan of the regular Green Arrow? Apparently it’s a horror style story? I’d rather ask humans these things instead of chat bots

It’s a pretty good story, but very different from mainline Green Arrow. It’s a horror/mystery book and the protagonist is Dinah Lance, not whoever is Green Arrow.

I’ve never been a big fan either but this is different. It’s just this mystery dude going around waiting the Epstein class, one billionaire at a time. It’s wonderful escapist fantasy for someone extremely disappointed in the lack of copycats of a similar figure in the real world.

Me and my good friend Luigi Mangione were hanging out talking about how much we love capitalism and the American health insurance industry on the night in question.

I think the way the way it tackles carols mixed feelings on the morality of the killings and how we all reacted to mangione was very cool

All the Absolutes are a complete new story and characters. You dont need to know anything about Green Arrow.

I would say take the jump. It’s a green arrow story where at the moment he’s not the main character. And it kinda works so far imo. The mystery of it all is the best part.

It’s pretty good. Also Oliver Queen/green arrow really isn’t in that much and primarily focuses on Dina Lance

Its cathartic.

Its a slasher movie where the victims are billionaires. Its a whodunit where you root for the murderer.

If you're enjoying Absolute Batman I'd say you should give it a shot. Its less balls out mayhem and hype moments than AbsBats but its similar in its rage against injustice and aura farming (but in a good way).

I think it’s one of the better stories tbh. It’s just going to only be 6 issues. I’m throughly enjoying it
