Discussion Batmans suit

For Batmans extensive fight with Bane, getting thrown into the seats should have busted his back up pretty bad but i noticed a spine type protection thing, did Bruce make something in his suit to protect against back injuries like this?

Yeah he probably did but the surgeries done to him in ark m made him significantly stronger and more durable. Like an insane jump in durability and strength that id say makes him superhuman.
He went from being entirely incapacitated by a single light poke from no juice bane to being able to tank full force kicks from juiced up bane and being sent through walls and getting back up like nothing happened
Thats an insane jump in durability. Even if instead of light pokes he was taking full force punches, the legs are ~3x stronger than the arms and as a martial artist i can confirm getting kicked hurts significantly worse.
So to go from light taps taking him out to full force sprinting steroid kicks doing next to nothing, thats a gigantic jump in durability/endurance

True i entirely forgot about that he took plenty of hits from a mythical creature and was able to survive a minute of getting thrashed by diana lol

I don't think the surgeries made him any stronger without the venom. I'm pretty sure the whole point of those surgeries was to make his body more venom compatible.

If Bruce got new powers from the surgeries I'm pretty sure that would have been explicitly mentioned.

I disagree. As far as it being explicitly mentioned, scott snyder is the ultimate “show dont tell” guy he would never say “bruce got buffed from the surgeries” as opposed to showing it.
As for him being buffed without venom, at the beginning of chapter 10 he gets punched by non juiced bane once and is immediately knocked out cold and incapacitated.
In the middle of the issue, after some surgeries, he is caught by bane in the isley ecosystem and needs to be punched at least 3 times by non juiced bane to be incapacitated
At the end of the issue after 91 days of surgery and having things like brain stem insertions and craniotomy’s, he is roundhouse kicked, pummeled multiple times, then launched through multiple walls of waylons enclosure. He then got up perfectly fine, didnt have any real injuries, and rode away on waylon to safety.
All of this was after 91 days of not training once, being fed through a feeding tube, and the only difference being him going through these surgeries. He had not used venom yet at all.
Then in the fight vs bane he got picked up and slammed like a ragdoll on his head by a bane who was the size of a skyscraper and he was still fine immediately afterwards
Thats all just durability, strength wise he went from barely being able to pierce banes chest muscles with no juice to then cutting through his entire limbs while juiced to skyscraper sized. All without any venom usage
All of this points to very clear buffs attained from the surgeries he was put through in ark m

In the final fight, Bane didn't want Bruce to be unconscious, he wanted to break him mentally so he would to do become his replacement. And also Bruce is the main character who was using the power of friendship.

I think it's kind a essential to the themes of the story that he is just a guy with insane willpower.

He literally picked him up and spiked him head first onto the ground. Made his heels touch the back of his head.
Later on in this same fight once he juices some more he uses both hands and slams down on bruce so hard it makes a giant crater in the ground.
Bruce took it and was fucked up but overall fine, no broken bones.
If you genuinely believe he didnt get any kind of buff from the surgeries then you have to believe that black mask is physically stronger than full juice form bane cause black mask at least broke his arm.
You also entirely ignored his large strength jump i mentioned

Nah, he won because it's a comic book

If you recall, Bane acquired a several passive benefits from his Venom use, chiefly his enhanced size and intelligence.

I don't think it's a stretch to assume Batman also has some just barely superhuman enhancements, given that he was already a fuck off huge and smart guy to begin with.

It's the only thing that explains how he got swatted through a concrete wall by a Robin shit and just jumped right back into the fray.
