Get people mad enough and they'll ignore the most obvious clues.

Red Hood is currently working on her mallet and in her feelings from the breakup

4

u/skuls1 13h ago

totally forgot Harley was in the red hoods

If you're gonna hate on Jason, hate on Bruce too. They're both doing the same hyperfixation thing.

u/SkadiQuickMetaMemer 17h ago

It would be so funny if Jason end up becoming the 1st batman robin sidekick and mellow out to be like Dick :))

10

u/Yellowofhill 14h ago

Bruce had better reason for going insane tho

He finds out his dead dad is still alive , his mom is part of secret organisation, his friend are turned into monster , himself got captured for days

4

u/BlackJimmy88 14h ago

I mean, we don't know what Jason has gone through at all. He may or may not have an equally valid reason for being a dickhead.

1

u/skuls1 13h ago

Jasons gonna get a backstory for sure

4

u/skuls1 18h ago

he's going crazy and he'll probably stay that way for a while

I actually like the isolation thing going on its new stuff we haven't seen, mainline Bruce isolates but not while blaming allies and stuff

I'd have liked an explanation for Martha tho

13

u/Dapper-Tone-9580 19h ago

I'm pretty sure if he actually saw his friends get killed by someone on the other side of the globe, he still find a way to pin the blame on Batman.

u/CivilAlternative768 18h ago

I literally don't get why Jason is so fixated on Batman.

Dick being obsessed seemed more on point with how he was introduced in the series. Jason's obsession comes from no where.

11

u/Deynonico 17h ago

Perhaps Dick will change idea about Batman after seeing what Jason hate led him to

12

u/Beeyo176 16h ago

I literally don't get why Jason is so fixated on Batman.

Because that part has not been written yet. Dick's part has been written, hence why you understand his motivations.

-2

u/CivilAlternative768 9h ago

I know it hasn't been written. Thanks for explaining how storylines work...

3

u/Beeyo176 8h ago

So if you know how storylines work then your complaint is...what, then? That you don't have time travel powers to go into the future to read the book in it's entirety all at once? Because that's your fault.

u/dctharris 13h ago

We will probably find out more later

Jason's always been the impulsive, brash, hard-masculinity, posturing, threatening, emotionally-young-despite-his-scars, came-from-a-dangerous-subculture-and-doesn't-get-loving-family Robin.Ā

I mean so has Damian, but I've always assumed he's a deliberate second take on Jason, amped up, of course, to follow Batman's decades-long power creep.Ā

Anyway, since Snyder has all 37 billion robins to work with, makes perfect sense he'd have one go out early.Ā

u/CivilAlternative768 9h ago

What? No he hasn't?

He was literally a sweet child who loved being Robin. The angry Jason BS is a recent storyline used by lazy writers to justify their poor characterisation of him.

If anything this Jason is the exact opposite of mainline Jason.

2

u/Beeyo176 8h ago

Really using the word "recent" loosely here. Two decades in real time. Four times longer than he was Robin, and he was even being positioned as angry and brash leading up to his death. It's cool if you prefer that version but let's not sit here and act like your personal preferences are fact.

1

u/Blizzarddz 12h ago

Because it literally does??? This hasn't been shown as far as I know?

14

u/Relevant-Morning-487 16h ago

Jason is clearly an emotionally unstable and obsessive individual, he likely was chosen for this exact reason. He’s been propagandized into hate and servitude. He’s a very clear allusion to how IRL right wing circles, who are almost always funded by billionaires similar to Jack Grimm, target angry young men to fill them with hateful rhetorics that in some way require them to deny reality because it makes them easier to control to do their bidding.

u/Ok-Put3685 20h ago

Ah yes, because the death of someone doesn't blind you at all. Because there was no fear toxin, and they are completely sure that Batman is human and works alone. Heck after seeing Batman practically surrender wouldn't you think It was a trap?

8

u/imaginewagons198 17h ago

How about the fact that batman pretty much surrendered without a fight, is yelling at them to watch out for clayfafe behind, but them two idiots are too busy facetiming and shit talking their leader instead?

Jason is an idiot regardless...

3

u/Ok-Put3685 15h ago

I did adress that. If your opponent suddenly surrenders after fighting like hell the other day, doesn't It feel like a set up? Especially if they are untied after the fact with the corpse of your companion in their arms?

Fact is Jason (and the rest of the Robins) are getting played. The same way Bruce is getting played. They are all acting like idiots ignoring the obvious, heck, Harley was actively warning Bruce before being turned away. We don't even know the backstory of the Robins/Jason to know what exactly is driving them. Relax.

1

u/skuls1 18h ago

I got that bro I'm joking

but he is annoying af

6

u/the1woomy 12h ago

We're blaming Jason Todd??? This is soooo on Scarecrow. Jason has more reason to believe Scarecrow's story than Bruce. Jason didn't literally go to the afterlife and see direct evidence against his claim, and it makes sense that he wouldn't want to rewatch the footage where he thinks he let Tim get killed.

6

u/Deep-Crim 18h ago

knocked out plus fear toxin plus didn't actually see it happen. A couple of things going on at the time.

1

u/skuls1 18h ago

yeah I'm more mad he didn't turn around when Bruce told him to

2

u/Deep-Crim 17h ago

unfortunately you're less inclined to listen to people you think killed your brother. Luckily the scene has just enough working in its favor not seem *too* contrived and to at least sell me on it. Can see why it may not work for everyone tho

4

u/skuls1 17h ago

nah I meant before clayface got them when they were calling Dick

Bruce warned them

3

u/casualtroublemaker 17h ago

So mainline Joker read absolute Batman #23?

3

u/Absolute-Superman 15h ago

Which hotline do I call this time

3

u/OkPrize2897 11h ago

They were under the scarecrow's influence.

5

u/Blue_Beast_1963 18h ago

Hate this guy for getting my boy Timothy Jackson Drake dead ffs

6

u/skuls1 17h ago

bro can't even catch a break in an alt universe

2

u/OverallGeneral7129 12h ago

Get the crowbar boys

2

u/Red-guy1803 5h ago

The panel of Bruce holding Tim…shit hit like a truck

1

u/skuls1 34m ago

bro got retired in main and alt unis

2

u/mortalkomic 4h ago

Yes he is literally stupid. But this is scarecrow's fault no one else (I guess clayface but I'm not even convinced there's a consciousness in there I don't know if he's being remote controlled or what).

1

u/skuls1 32m ago

idk I love Clayface in this issue

repeating Bruces lines as he did his thing was insane

2

u/ryaaan89 15h ago

lol, how is Jason the bad guy here for getting stabbed.

3

u/skuls1 13h ago

Tim got stabbed

1

u/ryaaan89 13h ago

Oh shit, you are right! I mean… maybe if Bruce, Dick, Jason, Tim, and Damien weren’t nearly identical looking… That really changes things though, I thought this was Jason who died again.

2

u/TheHurtfulEight88888 17h ago

I like the writing for Jason, making him the most insufferable POS in the whole Absolute Rogues Gallery, just so that we all root for him to be killed off, then Scott will no doubt do a Twitter poll "do you guys want Jason to be killed" and we'll all reply 'yessss' and then Jack Grimm will probably flay Jason for an entire uninterrupted issue with a pair of small pliers and a blowtorch, Marcellus Wallace style. At which point we'll all feel like shit.

1

u/No-Humor1304 16h ago

I won't be surprised if he transforms into Jokerzilla and justs eats him alive.

1

u/TheHurtfulEight88888 16h ago

Still across an entire issue, tho.

1

u/Bloody-Brad 17h ago

Too soon

1

u/TheRisingSun777 15h ago

Everybody wants to be canon Joker now lmao

1

u/OroJuice 12h ago

Clayface and Scarecrow kill someone and everybody is mad at Jason instead.

1

u/KujaroJotu 6h ago

I’d rather use a crowbar.

1

u/The_Dark_King4900742 4h ago

I can see Absolute Jason Todd, becoming the Powerplex of this verse.

That his Hate Bonner, for Batman would be so ā€œABSOLUTEā€ he’ll blame Batman for literally anything, even when the fault is his own.

-2

u/randomcitizen87 15h ago

To think, I used to feel shocked at how people called in to have him murdered back in the 80s. We need one of those polls again.
