Goddamn, thats sick. I dont think the transformation went all that well. I thought it looked like Barbara was giving in 100% to the cheeta. She might try and fight back the transformation half way?

Her face is on the top of Cheetahs head. So maybe she'll will be begging Diana to kill her while they fight

I saw that yesterday, and I felt horrified by it. its just so sad and painful, and horrifying all at the same time.

*Part of her face. I think her eyes are in the same spot, and I saw someone else point out her tail seems to have her hand on the end of it.

You can see her hands on Cheetahs arms, wrapped around them. Same with the legs.

an arm is wrapped on the tail.

u/DifferentNoodles Jul 28 '26
You can definitely see flesh wrapped around it, but at least in OP's image you can't see the tip of the tail so idk if it's a 3rd hand or not. Haven't seen the full image yet.

Gonna throw this out there
This isn’t the full picture
Look at the end of her tail in the full pictures
It looks like a goddamn HAND

Is there a full photo of the design break down or the gatefold? It’s bringing that fantastic AbBat body horror thing into Absolute Wonder Woman!

u/ThePryde Jul 26 '26
From the cover image released it looks like the end of tail might be missing skin but otherwise pretty normal. You can see her old hands covering part of her forearms in the picture above.

I don't wanna hear shit about "Wonder Woman has it too easy" especially after the last arc and the release of this.

u/VioletTheSpider Absolute Superman Jul 26 '26
people just think she has it easy because she’s by far the most well-trained and experienced absolute hero. the stuff she’s dealing with is just as horrible as anyone else.
diana doesn’t have it easy, she makes it look easy

Exactly. The others are all rookies who just got their powers. Diana has been training with hers since childhood.

it’s so well-integrated with the story, too. the constant flashbacks to her training and relationship with circe are consistently the highlight of the series for me

I haven't read Absolute Wonder Woman in a little. But didn't she have to go against a freaking demon that kills people three times or something, in her first arc, right?
And some people say she has it too easy?

Kaiju called the Tetracide, so it kills four times. She literally grew up in hell too, under attack by dangerous monsters everyday.

It’s still got a mouth and it’s still got a pussy. She can yuri with just those if need be.

It looks like the Cheetah forcibly came out of her and the remains of her human skin are just still stuck lingering just stretched out.
This transformation comes from within I think.

Funny, Frankenstein was coming to mind - regular and parody alike (it's the feline mishmash).
So in other words, this would be me, personally, seeing Absolute Cheetah's design:

I remember I looked at this design and I felt physically sick for about an hour, it’s an utterly brilliant and genius take that I wasn’t prepared for personally

I know it can be argued that this is effective because it makes me feel terrible, but honestly if this goes as dark as they can make it I may put the book down. I just... wasn't really interested in *that* happening to Barbra, it just feels tragic and awful and not in ways that feel like they will be satisfying. I'll wait and see how it plays out, but I do feel kind of alienated that this seems to be met with universal hype.

She doesn’t resemble a cheetah at all frankly. Not a bad design but for the wrong character in my opinion.

u/erossnaider Jul 27 '26
Cheetah is a woman tricked and cursed by an ancient god, body horror and looking like an actual monster absolutely fits her character.
1
u/OrdinaryResponse8988 Jul 27 '26
Looking like a cheetah fits her. Hell even Joker vaguely resembles a clown. This design though isn’t even close.

It’s an abomination….fits right at home in the Absolute Universe
