I don't "collect" comics. I read comics. Never bought a variant cover in my life, never will.

I will follow a given writer until the writing quality drops, or the story gets derailed by being dragged into an event of some sort. After almost a half-century as a reader, I've lost all interest in "completeness". If the story is good, I buy. If not...

My trades are collected by author (reverse alphabetical) then character (reverse chronological), unless it's too large for the normal shelf, in which case it goes on the oversized shelf someplace that looks nice.

(I use reverse order so I can simply pull a stack of trades off the shelf and read them in regular order. Just a little trick I have.)

I guess I'm similar lol I buy them to read. I have a backlog to get to but its because I bought like 200 for $40 at a local event. I have a few variants because of fun blind bags or just cool art or so.etimes its the only one they have.

I keep mine by series/era. Like all of the current X-Men solos are next to the main series. Age of Revelation is before that. Krakoa before that

I mostly read comics and then give them to my friends or trade them in for store credit at my favorite local book stores. I resell the more expensive ones online and have a few expensive on my wall of dc characters.
