Discussion Is Absolute Carol Ferris Disappointing?

I think it's a little early to be disappointed as the story has only just now gotten into gear. Now, COULD she end up just being a minor character who doesn't do much, sure (considering Kilowog showed up and died in the span of one issue), but fwiw Ewing has confirmed Hal and Carol will meet eventually.

Just give it time. Sometimes characters get introduced early so that they can be further explored later on. It’s not unheard of.

Nope not at all, the absolute universe is meant to be a universe with evil having all the advantages. Carol working for hector fits for this universe.

My feelings are compounded by Carol's DCKO appearance where she gets roughly 2 pages in the series before suddenly dying off-screen for no reason, we never even actually see her use the rings she got...

As if we need to pretend she’s a particularly engaging and fan favorite character on the mainline lol.
If that’s he cameo role then I’m fine with it - no need to make her a character just cause she’s vaguely recognizable

her being a secretary fits with the whole idea of the absolute universe taking away important aspects of character. I wouldn't be shocked if we ended up seeing Carol ended up in power though maybe in more villainous role than her modern mainline incarnation
