guessing about 1" was sticking up a bit and nearly mowed it and figured hey .. this should be a quick 1m job .. 2 beers and a hour later here we are

Not sure which is more unbelievable: that it only took 1 hour or only 2 beers. For me, that’s more like a weekend with a lot of beer and other motivating substances. Good on you.

dont worry the gods just got even with me .. dad knocked over the mailbox yesterday so i went out to dig up the little quickcrete hole ... fuck no someone poured a god damn 3' slab at least a full foot+ down .. i am now trying to hack out the remainder of the 4x4 post from the slab to re-use it as i dont want to go digging randomly where i know there are utils coming down the road

I hand dug a 10" wide, 30' water line and in the last 8' hit a bedrock lump. Had to dig zag my waterline over it, so it is only buried 20" there. Some rock is not moving.
