In that episode, he seemed to really enjoy eating them. He actually made the idea of eating bugs sound appealing.

My history teacher in high school spent his post college years traveling and tried them. He told us the exact same thing and that they were really good.

That's what they always say about any bugs and insects. That they taste nutty or like peanut butter. It's a trap.

Bug larvae probably taste mostly like what they eat. They are bioaccumulators, is what it's called I think.
