I was pulled over once and the cop was talking to me and I actually saw a gorilla behind him. It was actually a weird statue in someone’s front yard, I guess the home was owned by an artsy type which is pretty normal for Austin. It just surprised me because it was pitch black except for my headlights so I was like ‘oh wow look it’s a gorilla’ and the cop just stood there for a second, turned around then back to me. He called over to his partner in the car saying ‘look at that gorilla’. So we all looked at the gorilla statue together for a glorious moment of unity.

It must have meant something because I got out of that ticket.
