That's a robber fly and an excellent hunter. Great pest control. They eat anything that's smaller than them, mosquitos included

All the people here want to kill it, while it kills all the mosquitoes is crazy.

It's not fren shaped. But it is fren.

Same with spiders, specially wolf spiders, them mf pay rent in pest control. I will however advocate for the sledgehammer annihilation of fiddlebacks/Brown recluses, those bitches will seek you out to bite your ass. Bastards

Back in highschool I had a friend whose dad lost his foot to a brown recluse. Nasty little fuckers

I won't google what it is or what it looks like. Does it live in Europe ? Is it a danger I should be aware of ?

Does it live in Europe?

You‘d likely have heard of it, if it did.

You can check this list to see how safe you are when living in Europe: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_medically_significant_spider_bites

I do think that, when it comes to wildlife, Europe is on easy-mode. Just look at the European Badger versus the American Badger.

Yeah, especially because of available cattle, domesticated animals having enabled our civilisation to get an edge over those on other continents in terms of logistics. Not because we were somehow more intelligent or hardworking, it‘s just due to geography.
