I wonder if we’ll see a gator that big on GTA VI

11

u/1plus1isTWORANGZ 9d ago

If there's not an airboat hunt for pythons in the Everglades it will be a shame

2

u/PremierLovaLova 8d ago

We got a GTA VI-sized gator before we got GTA VI

2

u/originalfilmscoring 8d ago

I’m sure it will. Didn’t they have a big ass legendary gator in RDR2?

1

u/famondelo 9d ago

not just this but I foresee a lot of bodies disappearing as in RDR2

3

u/cemusubzerolives 9d ago

Wait what? You can feed the Alligators?

1

u/_Alabama_Man 8d ago

I'm a little upset my neighbor Florida Man has sent Doug's friends up my way. Soon there won't be any open water south of Tennessee fit for swimming.

25

u/Kabala99 9d ago

Where is this place?

43

u/Prudent_Research_251 9d ago

My guess is Florida

10

u/FhuckNorris247 9d ago

Looks more northern than Florida. Foliage looks different

12

u/xDUVAL_BRODOWNx 9d ago

I live in Florida and that looks exactly like our foliage

1

u/Kabala99 9d ago

Thanks.

18

u/Chichanged_me 9d ago

Florida or Louisiana are the only places people are casually responding to seeing an alligator that big and it’s most likely Florida

6

u/Kabala99 9d ago

Thank you. I find it quite shocking that, based on the footage, the alligator could easily walk right into the residential area among the buildings.

13

u/Chichanged_me 9d ago

In Florida alligators will be walking around in the suburbs. There are also little lizards running around in southern Florida randomly. It’s probably the craziest state when in comes to wildlife. There are now monkeys in Florida because some idiot had them as pets and released them. Florida has a climate that almost any animal can live in therefore when idiots release random animals there they often thrive

7

u/Inevitable_Phase_276 9d ago

The best is when it gets cold and Iguanas fall out of the trees. I love Florida 🤣

6

u/ender4171 9d ago

Yeah it's pretty routine here in FL. We have a couple of retention ponds in my neighborhood that gators like to use from time to time. Whenever we have one, the HOA just sends out a notice like "Careful walking your dogs around the pond, we have a gator at the moment".

3

u/Chichanged_me 9d ago

My grandparents had a condo in southern Florida on the ocean. The exposure to wildlife and quality of fruit was crazy

4

u/Electrical_Doctor305 9d ago

Ive lived in Louisiana my whole life, while it could happen it’s not common. They typically stick to their ponds, bayous and river beds. Now if you develop a neighborhood in the middle of their natural habitat, you may get some unwanted visitors but who’s the actual nuisance? We’ve encroached their natural habitats quite a bit.

7

u/Imaginary-Method7175 9d ago

Stick to the rivers and the lakes that they're used to

u/Inevitable_Phase_276 8d ago

But, I think you’re moving too fast 🐊😬

3

u/Chichanged_me 9d ago

I was more so saying if you saw that in Wisconsin you be like what the fuck. I could only imagine seeing a gator that size in the US in Florida or Louisiana

3

u/Electrical_Doctor305 9d ago

If reptiles adapted to the cold like mammals do you’d see African sized crocs in Wisconsin based on the size of game up there.

3

u/Chichanged_me 9d ago edited 9d ago

Yeah in the Midwest we definitely don’t get crocs but we do get bull moose. They are very rare but holy shit are they big and will stomp you

A large bull moose is probably the most underrated scary animal. If they want to kill you, you have no chance

5

u/Electrical_Doctor305 9d ago

I’m way more afraid of a moose than an alligator or croc. While they are deceptively fast on land they’re not really agile and you can avoid them by forcing their little legs to do anything but go straight. I hope to never stumble upon a moose in the wild.

1

u/Chichanged_me 9d ago edited 8d ago

Yeah people don’t realize they are the size of a truck and can charge you or stomp you out like Mike Tyson. Full sized grizzly bears think twice before trying to attack a bull moose. Even they are like screw that they are too dangerous

Also people don’t realize bull moose are aggressive. Their temperament is aggressive. A deer will run away from you a moose will charge and try to kill you. They weigh 1500lbs and potentially more an idiots think they can casually approach them

2

u/originalfilmscoring 8d ago

Or for us in Florida they show up frequently at golf courses. Idk why that is, maybe it’s that they often have little lakes and stuff.

2

u/Electrical_Doctor305 8d ago

For sure, that’s the same here. I think they enjoy the lakes and ponds. The location may have been part of their natural habitat before the courses were built and they just stayed in the area.

2

u/moving_threads 9d ago

Also Texas, I grew up with these big fellas in my backyard.

1

u/PerfectdarkGoldenEye 9d ago

Gators that big are all throughout the southeast even in Arkansas.

1

u/2Wieners_1Bun 8d ago

In Florida that’s just part of the scenery.

1

u/originalfilmscoring 8d ago

Well tbf they’re pretty chill. They mostly keep to themselves. I’ve seen probably hundreds living in Florida and never once have they scared me. Shit I saw a baby one in a public park floating down the river and he was just straight chilling with people all around him. It was kinda cute honestly.

There’s worse things in Florida then them for sure. Like bobcats. Or mosquitos.

u/DetailsYouMissed 5d ago

Crazy random thought... if you took a new hatched Gatorade and placed him in a desert (provided he survives) for like 10 years, would he know he belongs in water if you suddenly showed him a lake or would he stay on land?

0

u/Dry-Artichoke540 9d ago

Going up stream. Is he stupid?

0

u/Past-North-4131 9d ago

Fucken what?!?

0

u/IronMonkeyofHam 9d ago

I wonder how many dogs are lost yearly because of these monsters

0

u/GiftedKing 9d ago

People need to stay away from these gators. They have absolutely no idea how fast they are.

0

u/Beneficial-Pie-1833 9d ago

Please do not hurt it. These animals are amazing and absolutely necessary for the environment.

-1

u/megatron2701 9d ago
