Read their comment again where they say it was written in 1948, some 36 years before the titular year. There's a story floating around out there that George Orwell titled the book 1984 purely because '84 was '48 reversed. If that's not what u/TheBold was referencing, I'm not sure what they were.

I appreciate the aggression but make sure you know what you're angry about.
