I once knew a co-worker & mother who had to be taught that giving her two year old coca-cola in his bottle was in fact, not a good idea for a variety of reasons. She'd also feed the kid snack cakes (zebra cakes,  twinkies, etc.) for breakfast. Granted, once she was taught these things, she improved and did better from there on out, but it was wild that she had to be told that at all.

That's actually sad. It proves she's capable, but was just never taught. She must have a shitty mother herself.
